We felt like we were back in Paris. Great food and great price. We do recommend this place!

The french food lover(me) will enjoy this place. Party of 5 and thoroughly enjoyable lunchtime dining at its best. The Bouillabaisse and the escargot entrees are standout memorable entrees. The deserts we ordered were pre-preps 7/10 but reasonable.
We discovered this restaurant from one of those advertised "meal-deals" and its worked, we've informed dozens about this place, booked again for next month, sure there will be many more visits here.

Totally lived up to expectations. And though it's no "Jol Robuchon" it's worth getting the 3 course set menu. Really good selection selection of entrees, mains and dessert. I and my 3 friends were not disappointed with any of our meals.

No Dramas with the snails for entree, but if anything I would have preferred more intense flavour - more herbs and more garlic. The Duck for main was boneless and allowed the aromatic natural flavours of the duck to come through the French influence.

Both the chocolate mouse and the Ice Cream for dessert was loved by everyone.

We also enjoyed the wine list, with the Sommelier, taking the time to recommend some excellent Australian and overseas whites. Will be coming back, probably midweek as no dramas getting a great table, and a little cheaper than the weekend.

Having read mixed reviews as to the food and service on other websites, I approached The Little Snail with slight apprehension for a 21st birthday party for a close friend. The location is very nice, just across the Pyrmont Bridge between Harbourside Shopping Centre & the Maritime Museum. My friend booked one of the private sections upstairs, and as great as the location was, the direct view of the window was of the Maritime Museum building. However, white tablecloths and napkins, clean glasses, balloons, I was relatively impressed.

The waiters took our orders quickly, and were attentive when it came to refills. Because they did not take our names per order, I shouldn't have been surprised that they mixed up every single order that arrived, although it would have been nice had they asked which dish we had ordered, instead of wordlessly placing the dish in front of you.

We had the $55 three course dinner. A few of my friends ordered the one dozen snails, which is a absolutely huge amount, and I was told they tasted wonderful, by people who have not ever had snails. I played safe and ordered the terrine of smoked salmon with lemon aioli and vinaigrette dressed baby rocket and toasted baguette. It came out beautifully presented, the salmon was fresh and smoked to perfection, and the lemon aioli added just the right amount of zing and bite.

My main I ordered the magret de canard, which was the duck breast fillet with cassis and raspberries, served with sweet potato puree and silted baby spinach. While the raspberry sauce didn't match the spinach and potato puree, it was an excellent match with the duck. I was told that the beef fillet was also fantastic, as was the seafood plate which was absolutely enormous. I felt my duck a little overcooked, but as I've only had Chinese BBQ duck before, I assume the cooking techniques are very different, resulting in a different texture to the meat.

Dessert was hard to pick, but I opted for the classic crme caramel which was lovely. Many ordered the Kahlua-infused mousse, as well as the profiteroles (there is only profiterole on the plate), and all were very happy with their desserts.

Although it will seem as if there isn't much on each plate, you're somehow incredibly full at the end of the meal! This is a definite winner if you're looking for a French-Australian restaurant to impress.

This restaurant has the lot... great views & decor .... great music.... excellent food... and strong customer-focused service. Better yet great price - a 3 course dinner menu of $55 per head. My boyfriend and I dined here, beginning with the Boullabaisse de marseille (a traditional French fish soup of mussels, prawns and fish fillets with garlic baguette), and Escargot (snails). Both were absolutely delicious! The soup was fresh and light, and the escargot was tender and garlicky, and for my first time eating snail that made all the difference! For mains we shared both the Beef Bourguignon (a classic French stew of beef tenderloin marinated in red burgundy wine with shallots, bacon and baby champignons) and the Veal with a creamy white wine and mushroom sauce with potato medallions and asparagus. It was an amazing meal.
