Being a Pommie, I always go here for my greasy feed! I miss the chippies of South East London on a Friday see. I have not had better chips in Sydney. I've been to the chip shop on Prince's Highway, (voted best fish and chips in Sydney 06 by WSFM Listeners), and they said that no one in Sydney would do freshly cut chips. Well, sorry guys, these are well and truly hand cut little beauties. I just get the grilled fish because I can't have wheat (diddums). You will not be disappointed.
Popped in for takeaway on DVD night. Was distracted from the various fish offerings by the burgers and while I wasn't disappointed I wasn't totally enthralled by the burger. The chips were really tasty but a little greasy but hey we're talking about chips here and they're supposed to be greasy right?
Although I got takeaway, you can eat the place itself but it aint all that great. The radio was on quite loudly -yes the radio. What is this? 1973? If they want people to hang out there they need to fix the place up a bit, but maybe they want people to get takeway rather than sit there. The food came fast and although the counter staff were a bit vague, they were friendly enough.
It's on the DVD shop route for me so it's real handy but I wouldnt make a special effort to get there again.
