    My partner and I attended a performance last night by a well known performer who is also a friend. We were pleasantly surprised but the venue but were then shocked by the treatment of one of the staff.

    When the show finished and we were preparing to leave, our friend the performer came by to sign a limited edition album for us and say goodnight. No sooner did he sign it and kiss me goodnight, the staff came to our table and insisted that everyone leave NOW. This was literally minutes after the performance finished and we were trying to put our signed album into a paper bag when this staff started getting rude at us and and urging the other staff to take the table cloth off our table. We were astonished by the unreasonable behaviour. We said we were leaving. This staff stated aggressively that we must go NOW. We went to the foyer and requested to speak to the management. The staff made a bee line towards us from the main room and aggressively asked what our problem was. I tried to explain that the behaviour towards us was unwarranted and had spoiled our experienced of the concert. This staff then removed the security badge and tried to hide it. The management came and apologised lightly and said that the staff was under great pressure to set up for the next event. I said this was no excuse for the aggressive behaviour and that we would not be back to the ballroom again. We left quietly as is our way always.

    I am a senior professional, a polite, well liked, unassuming member of the live music community. I have never experienced anything so unreasonably aggressive and am still deeply affected by it.

    We will never go this venue again and will tell all our friends in the live music community about our experience.

    Nice decor but Minus five stars for staff.
