    As a child growing up in Toormina I used to love going to The Roost on weekends for chicken, chips and gravy. In high school I would sometimes walk down on my lunch break to get chips. I now live in Melbourne, and I miss it so! I visited Toormina last year and was delighted that not only was the Roost still there, but it was just as good as I remember. Locals would be insane to choose others over this delicious takeaway, keep it local, and keep the Roost there so I can share it with my children when I have them.
