Feel like a view of the Harbour Bridge as you enjoy the gentle force of a therapeutic massage spa jet on your lower back and sip on champagne? Try it at Star City in Darling Harbour: casino, hotel and restaurant complex. And if selecting from the pillow menu (wool, latex, cotton, or down) in your luxury Star Suite leaves you spoilt for choice or if a flutter on the floor doesn?t tempt you into even more chips, shuffle on down to the theatre and catch a show. A cracking production which will get you in the mood for some city adventuring.

Casinos are an odd type of business. It is said the house always wins, yet this doesn't stop throngs of people going to Star City to try their luck, sip on cocktails, and otherwise make a night out of it in glitzy clothes. The casino is spacious and there is an array of shops, cafes, restaurants, ice-cream bars, and even hosted shows to keep the crowds interested. What can I say? It's a casino complex.

Recently spent one night in the Astral Tower. Lovely room overlooking Pyrmont. Fabulous views and a very comfy stay. Everything is on site so you don't have to leave the building if you don't want.
The only hiccup I had was requesting a bucket of ice to be sent up and was charged $8 for the privelege! That's beyond cheeky!! (I thought it was a joke, but made to sign and pay - go figure!)

The question is not what you can do at The Star but more or less what doesn't The Star have. Entertainment, nightlife, bars, fully fledged Casino with a large selection of gaming rooms, hotel and suites, health spa, shopping precinct, fine and casual dining and Darling Harbour not even 5 mins away. For a special occasion such as a wedding anniversary or birthday it is lovely to treat yourselves to a night out the Star and team it with a stay over (if the budget will permit). My ultimate favourite restaurant is the Lotus Pond. For a romantic dinner two you can book a table overlooking the pond which with the mood lighting and the tranquil sound of the water is just beautiful. There are plenty of other dining options to consider such as Momofuku, Balla or Sokyo if fine dining is what you are looking for or more casual (and obviously cheaper) options including the Garden Buffet which reverts to a Seafood Buffet on Friday and Saturday nights, Fat Noodle or Antidote.

If dancing, music and a few drinks are more your thing, then check out the nightlife via Marquee or Cherry with regular guest DJ lineups that will have you dancing the night away. Why not throw a couple of dollars on the roulette table or the Cleopatra pokies and rather than hitch a cab (budget pending) why not end the night out with a deluxe stay at Astral Towers where you can enjoy some pampering at the Health Spa, soak up some rays at The Pool @ The Darling and dig into a plentiful and tasty breakfast buffet (or room service if you really want to go all out). Before check-out take some time to enjoy some retail therapy at the many boutiques and designer outlets or why not grab a box of Zumbo's famous macaroons.

However you like to enjoy a weekend, day or night out The Star is a great place to start.

Great night out in Sydney. Everything you could possibly need is available at The Star. Restaurants, bars, hotel, gaming tables and the theatre. Since recent upgrades and renovations, the decor is very modern and pleasant.

Had an amazing experience staying here. The accommodation was modern, stylish and roomy and very well presented. We got the package including the buffet breakfast each morning, WOWZERS, a super way to start the day, anything you can think of that could be labeled as a breakfast food - they have it on offer. Fresh juices, coffee, muesli, bacon, eggs, croissants... the list goes on and on and it was to die for. The casino has recently undergone renovations and it was great. The atmosphere was very inviting, and even though I'm not a gambler, there were plenty of other things to keep me occupied.

Nice casino, and staff at the tables are always helpful. Only complaint is they took away the $5 roulette tables (not a fan of the electronic versions)

Bar staff are friendly and the dealers are also happy to help, table service was nice extra.
