The Station Street Cafe feels more like an inner city cafe rather than one out in the suburbs. It has a laidback feel with nice artwork/photography on the walls. There is Friday night tapas and live music which I have yet to experience. The service is excellent - quiet but friendly and the water is replaced promptly. They do excellent coffee and the lunch menu, although small, has something for everyone. I had the sundried tomato and onion tart and although perhaps a little pricey, it was delicious. Same goes for the lamb burger, which appears a little on the small side, but is full of flavour.

great dips - you can tell they are homemade and some thought has gone into them rather than the plain old usual ones - eg pumpkin/black sesame seed and lentel dips

new spring lunch menu sounds nice, i tried the lental burger (with eggplant, zucchini and capsicum and yoghurt) and fried onion ring curled on top. presented lovely and very tasty. always get a good meal here, although a little small.

still producing really interesting dishes, new menu sounds delicous again. tried for sunday lunch "tempura zucchini flowers stuffed with persian fetta with an apple & celeriac remoulade (salad) with candied wanuts $17 - absoultely delightful, salad was fabulous and healthy. my husband tried the "chargrilled vegies with haloumi, roasted tomatoes and sour dough $13 was also good, but would try something else next time, maybe "salt and pepper squid on couscous salad with harissa $18 or "double baked ricotta and olive souffle" $12. our kids had the sour douigh with house made dips and olive oil and dukkah $10 which was substantial and really tasty. the serving sizes are a lot bigger than they were in past which is really nice. now have a separate breaky menu which had heaps of dishes i'd like to try (including the zucchini flowers) and new tapa and dinner menu (prawns, squid, quail, scallops, corn cakes, gnocchi etc) sounds inticing too and a bit cheaper than has been previously. coffees (cold and hot) still superb. staff still friendly, easy to park and open 7 days a week (friday dinners)

Great coffee, friendly staff, and consistently good food. Tapas on a Friday night with live music is something sadly lacking in the burbs so it's great these guys are here! The music is really good but way too loud so makes conversation difficult. Nice decor and they promote local artists, I look forward to seeing what photos/paintings are hanging on the walls each time I visit. The Scrambled Eggs & Dukkah
on sourdough with avocado and goats curd is delicious! But this cafe could do with more toilet facilities - there is only one loo and that's not so great on a Friday night when everyone's eating and drinking. I hope that eventually they will be open for dinner on more nights.

open for dinner friday nights only where they have live music. tapa food $5 -$7 includes 2-3 pieces of calamari/prawns/scallops/felafels/duck/lamb kofta/chicken tenderloins/etc.
the scallops are cooked perfectly (chargrilled and not soaked in milk!) and the sweet soy and honey marinaded duck is delicous, they also have about 5 more substantial meal priced at about $30. coffees are excellent. can be a bit noisy with music and larger groups for after work drinks/nibbles, etc so not great for a romantic dinner or book a table outside. staff are very friendly.
