When you see the bold sign out front announcing The Vietnamese Restaurant, you know the intentions of the owner, chef and staff – to serve you straight-to-the-point great tasting Vietnamese-style cuisine. This intention is realised, with diners commenting on the great quality of the healthy food, particularly the soups.

And of course a restaurant is about more than food, it is also about the nature of the service and whether the overall experience is value for money. In both instances The Vietnamese Restaurant in Fortitude Valley does not disappoint.

I have been to the Vietnamese Restaurant B Y O on several different occasions and the service is always good and the food consistently fantastic. This is one of the few places in Brisbane where you can get authentic Vietnamese food.

My brother chose this restaurant as his birthday meal. We went with 3 kids and 4 adults at a busy time (Sat night). The staff were courteous and helpful and the orders taken quickly and served quickly. Value for money was okay and the food served was good, but I have tasted better in West End. However my brother loved it... and it was his birthday... so that is what matters.

Was taken here on a date this week. Went on a Monday night and the place was so busy. Had a lovely meal. We ordered the spicy beef soup and the sizzling Mongolian beef. Can't say anything other than delicious.

The Vietnamese is hard to pass up when discussing the options for dinner when in the Valley. Amazing value and fantastic selection of amazing dishes. The fresh spring rolls are the way to go for a light and fun meal or any of the hotpots for something a bit more substantial. It can get very busy at night so try to book ahead. It's always worth a look to see if it's open at lunch too because when it's easier to just drop in. Matter of fact...what are we having for lunch? Vietnamese anyone?

The name says it all, if you want Vietnamese in the Valley where better than the Vietnamese restaurant. My family loves the fun rolls, good fresh food, very tasty and quite authentic...and the bill won't break the budget. A good night out for the whole clan.
