You know the questions like "Why can't I lose weight?" and "Why does everything that's bad for you taste good?"
These questions won't get you anywhere except maybe helping you feel sorry for yourself and setting you up for a spot of comfort eating.
A carefully planned weight loss program requires common sense and certain guidelines.
When will you start?
There's no time like starting TODAY. Nothing is going to change unless you do!.
So what changes are you going to make?
When we discover that we are heavier than we want to be, we have a natural inclination to eat less food. We may skip lunch or eat only a tiny amount of our dinner in the hope that if we eat less our body will burn off some of its fat. But that is not necessarily true.
Eating less actually makes it more difficult to lose weight - losing weight is not something one can do overnight.
- Will you follow a particular plan or just cut down in general?
- How will you know if you're succeeding?
- What exercise will you take (if any)?
- How will you make sure that you follow your plan?
- What will you do about the things that might get in the way?
Vague ideas about losing weight need to translate into a concrete plan of action.
Ask yourself these questions and decide NOW what you will do!
