A terrific wine bar

The Wine Library is from the same people who run the Italian restaurant Buzo in nearby Jersey Rd. The evening food menu concentrates on snacky options like salumi platters. As you would expect the wine list is extensive, and offers an exiting range for any tastes and budget.

Great service from staff that know their wines, a great atmosphere and top wines at good prices but the food portions are tiny.

Fantastic range of wines. Staff were attentive, yet, not pushy at all. Nice relaxed buzz with people sipping and enjoying their conversations. The wine list caters for most budgets from the more affordable to the sublimely ridiculous.

A good selection on the menu for food, though on this occasion I did not partake.

great small bar, particularly now in the cooler months. Staff are always friendly and the selection of wines is substantial. Always a pleasure to visit.

This much hyped tapas bar, come wine bar, come restaurant for a girly weekend catch up and I must admit that it really did not live up to the hype!
The food admittedly was a fresh, modern and really quite tasty, but servings were very light on even for tapas like sharing dishes. The wines were naturally great (only to be expected given the name of the establishment) and the staff were well informed about the characteristic of the wines, regions they were from and what suited ones lunch selection best, but as for the ambience and layout I felt this place fell really short!
The lighting, lack of music and furniture selection was just a really bad mix for the type I feel I think this place is striving for, was not a complete disaster but feel it could be far more relaxed and inviting rather than stuffy and pretentious

Wine library is one of the many new small bars that have opened in Sydney over the past year. It is definitely a great addition to the Woollahra end of Oxford st. I visit with girlfriends for some lunch and some Saturday afternoon vinos. The small, cosy wine bar has a sleek bar area and indoor and courtyard dining options. It is usually buzzing with people, and I have come here before in the evening and been turned away due to the room being at full capacity. Despite its busy-ness, my friends and I decide it lacks ambiance and atmosphere. There is no music, and the crowd is mainly 30s-50s. Despite this however, we are very impressed with our food and wine. We order some sharing plates including a cheese plate, meat board with a selection of cured meats and bread, a salmon salad and some green beans. Simple, tasty and affordable food. Our waiter is also very attentive and helpful. We agree that it was a good experience but decide to leave after our food and continue drinking in a nearby pub with a younger crowd and more exciting vibe.
