I love Thomas Dux and much prefer doing my grocery shopping here rather than any other supermarket. Even though it is owned by the same people as Woolworths, the quality of the fruit & veg is much better. I recently did a shop at a larger supermarket and it was such a horrible experience compared, not to mention the bad quality and lack of taste in the fruit & veg. Thomas Dux have a great selection of gourmet goods as well as a deli, good quality meats, fish and even sushi. The product here may be a little bit more expensive but it is worth it for the better quality foods, and the more pleasant shopping experience. However, if I need everyday, cheap grocery items such as cleaning products, I would head to a larger supermarket since they do have more variety.

I tend to shop here when I need to buy meat or deli items, (pretty good deli here) as my local IGA doesn't have these, I guess it is a bit more expensive, but let's be honest everything in Paddington is, so people should be used to it and not still be whinging about prices. At least here you won't be buying out of date stock like other supermarkets. it is clean well stocked and convenient,(for me anyway).

I have to say I am not sure what all they hype with Thomas Dux is about. Yes it is an aesthetically pleasing and well designed grocery store that gives you a nice brown paper bag to take your groceries home so that all of your friends know you shopped there but at the end of the day it is just a re-branded woolworths store. The quality of the produce is no better than woolies and to be honest very lack lustre for the price you are paying. I am more than happy to pay $8.49 for a kilogram of pink lady apples if they are not bruised or mealy on the inside but to be frank you are not getting A grade produce for the A grade price you are paying. If you are willing to look past the designer layout of the store, just head to harris farms you will find much better produce and a just as well stocked grocery shelf without the price mark up. Having said all of that I guess its the price one pays for convenience and the ability to avoid a super market. Still I would prefer to go to a proper butcher and green grocer than this one stop shop. Was not really impressed at all.
