Retro restaurant and gallery

Tincat Cafe is both a restaurant and gallery space where you can enjoy a contemporary menu with French / Asian influences while lounging in the courtyard or one of the three intimate dining areas. Work by local artists adorns the walls and the menu features dining options like wasabi pea crusted salmon with smoky chilli and guava glaze served with polenta. Boutique wines sit alongside international drops on a reasonably priced drinks list.

i love it here! the atmosphere is nice, and the food is always good, with the menu always changing it's nice to try the new additions!

i find the staff to always be cheerful, definitely recommend!

Tin Cat - The food is great, but the service is hit and miss.

A couple of visists have been ok, but the last time - we waited over 45 mins for coffee, let alone the food. Thren when we ordered another coffee, it was another 30 min wait. The staff were inattentive, and there were only about 10 diners in at the time.
One other table had to stand up and wave their arms for service. The wait is normally a bit longer than average, but this occasion was unbelievable.

I love the food, but am not sure I can take friends there again due to the inconsistencies with the service.
