I tried several times to phone in to make a reservation - the phone rang out, You would think there would be at least an answering machine so they could return your call! When I finally got a hold of someone, I spoke to the management and was so rude to me I was seriously shocked! When I said "perhaps the answering machine isn't kicking in?" trying to be helpful, their response was "wellll how do you think we're so booked out all the time?" Then once I told them that we had a scoopon voucher, the reservation I had just made suddenly become unavailable! I couldn't get in for 3 weeks and when I questioned that, they said "wellllll, you've had 3 months to make this booking, soooo..." I had only had the voucher a couple of days actually! So much attitude!
How unprofessional! They then proceeded to laugh at our last name for a further 10min and it wasn't even funny, particularly since it was at our expense! The service was way too relaxed for such a so-called "high standard" restaurant. 40min later our seafood "feast" came out and I'm telling you, I have had better seafood baskets from my local fish & chip shop for $12! Most of it was deep fried; the calamari was so thin it just tasted like batter; the salad was terrible and the tomato's (which looked like they'd been frozen) tasted like raw fish; and it came with pita bread! What we were supposed to do with the pita bread was beyond me, it didn't suit the meal at all!
For supposedly being so booked out all the time, there were only 4 tables in the entire restaurant that had people on them. The decor is terribly outdated and tacky and the toilets are in such bad condition, not to mention that they're on the floor below!
    I wouldn't recommend.

This place is tatty and with the toilets a floor below the restaurant very inconvenient when you have to wait forever for the lift.
Meal was not worth the price.

Will not return and would not recommend

On February 14th, Valentines Day, my partner and I decided to treat ourselves to a fancy dinner at your restaurant.
Our visit did not turn out well. We arrived at our booked time 6.00pm. We were vaguely greeted at the front desk with a do you have a booking? and ushered to the dining room, before being told we have to be finished by 9.15pm.
The greeter pointed to the table and walked off. It was about 10 minutes before a very bubbly and friendly waitress was serving the neighbouring table, noticed we were not being attended to. We had to ask for the complimentary champagne on arrival, and she quickly arranged some water and wine list.
We sat reading over the dinner selections, printed cheaply in black and white. We pondered what to have, sipping our over priced wine looking through bird poo splattered windows overlooking Adelaide. The staff seemed edgy but also vague. It seemed there was no team environment and they all just floated around and did whatever. In my experience in running a restaurant for 7 years, especially when holding events and special evenings such as Valentines, Mothers Day etc, we would have a team meeting and co-ordinate the staff accordingly. We would set the mood for the evening and make sure the clients would feel the ambiance and professionalism that would be expected with a $120 meal!!
The table was set with mismatched cutlery, and no effort in the whole restaurant had been made to make this a special night apart from some tacky old love songs. There werent even any decorations to celebrate Valentines Day. This made a special night turn into something quite dull and boring.
We selected our dishes and waited for their arrival. My partner ordered the duck, which turned out to be dry and stringy. I ordered the oysters, which werent too bad. The mains followed almost immediately, giving us no time to enjoy the atmosphere, or lack there of and to digest. Im certain the food was very well prepared, almost too much. I had the Steak, which had clearly been re heated, and the potato was cold and starchy. My partner had the lamb cutlets which were not even browned and basically sinew and fat. The mains were promptly followed by the lovers plate which consisted of curdled brulee, compound chocolate basket with some kind of lumpy moose and a tiny ball of ice cream rolled in some kind of dukkah. The saviour of the dessert was the peacharine mascarpone. 1 out of 4 aint bad is it?
Overall we couldnt wait to leave. We expected more from your menu, your staff and the venue. We spent $240 on a less than ordinary meal, $100 on overpriced wine and were left deflated and disappointed.
