    You definitely have to visit many times to fully appreciate all of the food and decor tricycle has to offer. Staff are lovely and efficient. Coffee is great and I recommend the breakfast trifle. One of my favourite specials was the pear French toast and will definitely order if it is ever offered when I am there. Only problem is that is it so popular that on busy Saturday morning it can be difficult to get a table!!

    I visit Hobart a few times a year because my sister lives there, she always takes me to this lovely little cafe for breakfast. Nestled inside the corridors of the old Salamanca dock buildings Tricycle feels like a locals only place but more welcoming and with none of the hostility that would afford in Melbourne.

    The multileveled space gives each table a semi private area and creates an almost indoor garden party feel - admittedly being Tasmania most of the year it's a very cold garden party. The coffee is lovely and the staff are always nice and look like they are having a good time although it might be that I'm just used to Sydney wait staff.

    The breakfasts are the best in the area and the specials board is well worth a try. I love all the little tricycles hanging around the shop and the little notice that encourages patrons to exchange any excess home-grown produce for a free meal or coffee.
