Visited Tukka on a busy Saturday night, fully packed! Fantastic. Great atmosphere, didn't wait long for our food, our drinks tasted great (cocktails) and the front staff were very friendly. Good restaurant for adults on romantic dates!

I don't know what everyone's talking about, I thought it was great! It was such a nice change and was a great night out with my visiting friends.

Oh where do I begin? Dusty decor. Our chairs were rickety. Ambience was dead and stifling. Not family friendly (although can't really hold that against them), but our waiter definitely wasn't impressed. Food took a long time to get to us (what we could get from the menu, a lot of things were not available). When it did get to us it was in such miniscule servings we joked that the side dishes must have been air. Oh and so overpriced. $300 and our stomachs were still growling. Only positive part of the night is that it was such a bad restaurant we couldn't help but crack jokes all night about how bad it was. Glory days are behind it by the look of things, pity as sooo much potential.

I'd previously been to Ednas Table in Sydney (unfortunately, no longer in business), so had a certain expectation of Tukkas. They don't do childrens menus, and do not offer smaller portions, not really feasible considering the size of portions offered: appetiser (free) was a piece of salmon no larger than my thumbnail. The discovery platter was interesting and well explained, but not worth $40.

Both Kangaroo and Emu were nicely presented, but half raw. Possum was on the menu, but not available. Neither was the Blue tongue beer nor sparkling mineral water. Apparently the supplier had let them down. A business minded restauranteur would normally have gone to the bottle shop about 20 m down the road. $240 later, we had had a good laugh about our experience. I will certainly never visit the place again, nor would I recommend it further.
