Take away coffee from here was good, but the cups werent full which was disappointing. Price wise it was about average. The service was good. All you can really expect from this sort of set up in a food court.
I took the liberty of asking the family at Valentino's a few questions about their choices in relation to running their business while I waited (they are actually very friendly folks!) and the owner explained that it is difficult to run a small business.
So I think the best thing you can do is to go and try it for yourself! I had an iced chocolate and cannoli (because I'm a barista too and instead of turning my nose up at every other cup of coffee I'll ever receive like all us baristas seem to do, I just avoid it altogether) and was pleasantly surprised to see that they use chocolate powder instead of syrup - and trust me it makes a difference (because when you think about it, the syrup ones would just be a milkshake without the shake, right?)!
nice family atmosphere, but think of themselves too much, even though cakes are quite nice, though pricey. coffee is bitter, milk is cheap stuff bought from aldi - being a barista myself, i observed their way of making coffee and was stunned when i saw that they dont clean the coffee machine thoroughly when closing, nor do they clean the baskets in between making shots, resulting in coffee grinds from previous shots remaining in the basket, getting burnt and producing a bitter, acidic taste.
had to witness that they seem to use milk from aldi only. why would i pay for an aldi coffee? no way! in conclusion, not worth the money.
Best takeaway coffee & toasted banana bread that I've ever had. Friendly staff and happy family atmosphere. Old and young gather in the eatery near this shop every day & I often only go into the shopping centre only to buy a takeaway Latte from this shop. I would highly recommend this cafe to anyone lookin to have a yummy pasta lunch or a well deserved coffee break.
Perfect pasta, creamy coffee and the best New York cheesecake that I have ever tasted. In my opinion, this shop is the best in the centre and is worth making your way through the traffic for.
