It was time to celebrate. My partner was back in town after a two-week European adventure.
Granted, he was away for work, but he still visited the likes of Vienna, Milan, Paris and London while I was here in downtown Perth. Despite my jealousy, I decided to take the weary traveller out for breakfast to honour his homecoming. He was still a little jet-lagged after his 3am arrival so we were off to a bit of a slow start on this particular Saturday.
My international jetsetter, happy to eat somewhere close to home, suggested Van’s in Cottesloe. By the time we got there it was nearing noon, but our tummies were telling us we needed breakfast. To our delight, our friendly waitress informed us that Van’s had all-day breakfast options available. Perfect. After scouring the extensive menu I opted for the breakfast bruschetta and a freshly squeezed juice to kick-start my weekend.
