This is my favourite cinema, a short walk from my house & no crowded multiplex cinema like you get in the city and no kids running around, I guess that is because it is more arthouse but still shows a good mix of blockbusters too, like the bar upstairs (they have nice choc brownies too) and the fact you can take your beer or wine in with you, they also have the healthiest popcorn I've ever eaten.

Art house cinema - although sometimes they do play some of the better intellectual blockbusters. This is an adult cinema - you wont get pesky kids around - so grab a wine and bring it into the cinema with you - some good choc tops. They get the French Film Festival which is always one to get tix to. As Cushla below says you don't have to feel like a Nigel here - just pop by yourself. This place is a bit of secret - i feel so yeah not too crowded.

Forget the multiplex cinemas with their throngs of teenagers and irritating pick your own seat when you buy palaver, Paddingtons intimate, unpretentious Palace Cinemas on Oxford Street are my pick. No jostling for seats, decent films including regular foreign film festivals, the choc tops really do taste better and you can take a glass of wine in the cinema with youso civilised darlings. Its also single-viewer-friendly, meaning you dont feel like a Nigel if you fancy escaping to the movies solo.

One of the best cinemas to check out world and art house movies. Plenty of character and class.

Great place to check out art house films and international film festivals. Seats are comfortable & location is handy.
