    Despite their position in Australia as the mid-level (previously discount) domestic airline, Virgin Blue is comparable to higher level services elsewhere in North America and elsewhere. Their staff are friendly yet unobtrusive, and conveniences like online check-in 24hrs prior to flying make travel light an absolute breeze. On Virgin flights you do pay for anything you consume (including the TV) but the system keeps the cost of your seat down and your options open.
