    In July 2009, my mother became unexpectedly very unwell. We are country people not familiar with the city. We had to stay in Melbourne for five weeks with mum. My father, myself, my children and some of my siblings stayed with Elaine at Vizard House. For country folk this was a perfect place. Elaine was able to direct us with our feelings. We needed guidance and love. The house opened its arms. It welcomed us; provided us with warmth and laughter at the right times. Thank you Elaine and the Vizard Foundation House for your care. I think of your generosity every now and then. You helped us when we most needed it.
