I bought a voucher for this place because my dad was visiting from Europe and I wanted some nice family shots to commemorate his time with us. When we turned up, the staff member asked us if we wanted some coffee but they never went to make it, instead they went to a room and shut the door... when I asked them some time later if my dad could have that coffee, they made a face to show that I must be mad! And said they never offered any! But yes, ok, if we are so desperate, they can make one! How Rude !!! The photographer had some very fixed ideas on how we should behave and look, and that we should be smiling non stop in every photo, and we found it to be quite bizarre... as the forced smiles start to look very unnatural very quickly... The staff member was exasperated because my daughter (4 y.o.) was not co-operating and she is not an easy child, so they started making sighs and saying 'how can we make this child a bit easier'!!! For a pro who works with kids all the time, they were hopeless. The worst part was being made to wait for hours, waiting for other clients, How Dare We? After the shoot, which we found exhausting and not really altogether pleasant, we were finally invited into a small room to see the photos... The photographer took around 80 shots - they told me herself... Yet we were presented with 12 in the end!!! I was outraged they destroyed all the rest... and wouldn't even show them to us. The prices were crazy and the management refused to give us the files on disc in addition to the canvas we were buying... They were rude, short and dismissive, all of them, I hated the experience. It's been more than 1.5 months and we still have not got out canvas! I would not recommend this business to anyone.

I had a fantastic time at Vogue Studios and would have given it 5 stars except for a couple of things:
    1. The hefty pricetag. I knew it was going to be expensive but $190 for a single 8 inch x 10 inch print plus $25 for any photoshop effects is just ridiculous! There were so many beautiful photos and I was devastated because I couldn't afford more than 3 (plus the free photo I got with my voucher). The manager offered me flexible payment plans to try and convince me to buy more photos, but I really can't justify spending thousands of dollars on vanity shots.
    2. Prints vs CD. This is the digital age. Most people want to share their photos on Facebook or other social media. I had to twist the management's arm to get her to put high resolution versions of the prints I bought on a CD and they didn't seem too pleased about it.
    3. The studio was freezing! It's a big, drafty studio with high ceilings and no heating whatsoever. I had goosebumps all over me and at one point my teeth actually started chattering.

There were a lot of positives to the experience though:
    1. The hair and make up were exactly what I wanted. I showed the staff member a picture and they got the look exactly right. It was very heavy, not what I'd wear everyday, but it looked amazing in the photos.
    2. The photographer was very attentive and had a real eye for detail. They were relentless in his pursuit of perfect lighting and getting that perfect pose. It was good for someone like me who doesn't have modelling experience as I had no idea what I was supposed to be doing. The shots were beautiful and dramatic. I wish I could have bought them all!
    3. They ended up going overtime on my shoot. Instead of rushing me through my last outfit, they offered to do the next customer and then finish my shoot afterwards. It was wonderful of them to take the extra time and some of my best photos were in that last session.

In short, The studio need to rethink their approach going forward. Instead of getting customers in cheap and then charging hundreds of dollars per print, they should come up with a package that includes hair, make up, photo shoot and a CD with high resolution images of all the best shots. People would be willing to pay a few hundred dollars for an all inclusive shoot and they'd go home happy instead of feeling ripped off. It doesn't cost much to put images on a disk and then people can print the ones they like later.

I read some of the reviews here and so was a bit worried as some were good and some were bad, but what an amazing day. As soon as I arrived the staff were incredibly welcoming, my hair and makeup was beautiful and because I had an event on that day it was a bonus to have it done. The studio is beautiful and the photographer knew what she was doing. I didn't feel pressured into purchasing extra photos but they looked amazing so I did, I figured that I wouldn't be doing anything like this again. They were very considerate and altered the photos as i have a scar on my arm that I am conscious of. Thank you vogue studios.

After purchasing a voucher that included a canvas print and large photograph, I read the reviews in here and did not know what to expect from this studio. I was pleased overall. Firstly, the prices are indeed high, the smallest picture being $190. The larger prints are priced at slightly higher increments so it's tempting to upgrade your shot size for just a little more. More importantly though, the pictures were absolutely great. I am super picky and was really pleased with the range of shots and the truly amazing talents of Nancy. She did exactly what I asked and had some great ideas of her own. If they had been cheaper I would have gone crazy and bought loads (probably spending much more than I did). Hair and makeup was lovely and everyone was very nice to my little daughter who came along. Thanks Vogue, I will be back with my family in a year or so.

    - very pricy in compare with other studio and you will not get better quality or service!
    - not an organized business. Always you have to double check with them! missed one of my orders!
    - very long waiting period for the orders to be ready! First they promised the order become ready in 3 weeks while I haven't got it in 7+ weeks! You should also follow up otherwise they forget about your order!
    - rude management. All nice and beautiful smiles are gone after you paid!
Overall, I do not recommend this business at all ....

I have never really been a photo person.....i heard lots of good things about Vogue Studios and the people in this place, so finally booked myself in and decided to get some nice photos of myself.
I must say that it was a great experience...... upon arrival and the friendly greeting.....its nice to feel special and receive great service... I am one to take pride in the way i give service so i definatley notice good service when i get it.
I had only taken a change of top although stayed in the one clothing.......make up was fantastic, but to top it off it was the way the photographer told me to stand, smile or act...that made the experience and the photo ..
I realy enjoyed the experience......My mother also had come along and when it had come to purchasing my photos, i received one free photo and purchaed four others...
They are the best..... In regards to their.prices?? Photos like these are pricless..... I have finally got some memorable photos up of myself that i love.... one of my mother and I which i had given to her as a present which she loves too..
I have been getting compliments about them since i've framed them. Have recently married so i will be going back with my husband to get one together.....
Thank you to all the staff at Vogue Studios...

I went to this studio this week. I have to say i am utterly disgusted and disappointed. The make up was ok but the staff who did my hair had no idea. My local salon good do a better than that. The only highlight is the photographer who is friendly and sets you in the mood. Then there is the management who take you to the room to show photos and plays their marketing skills on you. They sit there and let you look at the photos. I heard other studios which give photos on a disk but they only if you buy them for min price of 190 you can get the photos. We went as a family and the management or whoever it is doesn't give you time to decide what to do in terms of finances. Basically they run you dry with emotional blackmail. We did buy some photos and paid and arm and leg for it. I feel that these places should have prices accommodating for everyone. Yet it looks like if you are rich and well you can afford them. Then again they aren't flashy either it is un- air-conditioned suite in enmore st.

I am shocked to see that they can charge these ridiculous amount of money without someone doing something about it. we were planning to more photo shoot . Stay away from if you don't want to become conned into spending huge amount of money.

Unfortunately my experience was not satisfactory at all, at first they give you lots of attention and try really hard to be friendly just hoping you buy as many pictures as you can at the end of the session and at ridiculous price, if you are not convinced in buying they will try to get you into it so you spend the money (I bought some pics but I am glad I didn't spend what they want it to as I was firm on my decision, so WATCH OUT!!). I had to wait more than 7 weeks to get my pictures and I got them because I follow up and called them, before my last call I contacted them several times before to ask for my product and they were really rude and all the friendly treatment was gone, they don't know how to run business or to keep customers happy.

I bought an online deal a few months ago for a photoshoot with Vogue, and redeemed it a few weeks ago. It was definitely worth the deal price, and it was a special treat for myself that I never would have normally spent money on. They provide a good experience, the makeup artist is quite good but they definitely give you a "stage makeup look" - no room for natural beauty. It was a great touch that they ask you to bring along several outfits to be shot in, this provides a nice mix of photos and a change of pace. The photography itself is good, but I would recommend anyone going to have a firm idea of what they want and how they want to look. As someone who has never been to a photoshoot before, I couldn't tell whether I was meant to smile or pout or anything different!

WATCH OUT when you sit down to select photos though. My deal came with 2 printed photos, but they will tell you ANYTHING to get you to buy more (ridiculously overpriced) prints, and it took me a fair bit of wrangling to get my deposit back. In short, it's a great experience for a special treat, but be very firm with how many prints you want unless you want to walk away hundreds of dollars out of pocket.

Hi, was wondering what you meant by 'took me a fair bit of wrangling to get my deposit back'. I bought a package online before reading the reviews and now that I've seen it, I'm a bit worried. I read somewhere that you can get the deposit refunded fully, but is it really that difficult in asking them to give it back fully?
