I've been training at VT1 for 3 years now. I started there as a middle aged out of shape 90kg guy and over time have gained new skills, a hell of a lot of good friends and dropped to 73kg. This would not have been possible without the fun friendly atmosphere at the gym that keeps me coming back and keeps me engaged even as an older guy. The gym is family friendly (my son does BJJ classes) and I'm able to bring the kids with me once in a while when I train and there's always someone to keep an eye on them and keep them amused. The gym is also clean (many are not) and has a much more professional feel than most MT/MMA gyms I've been to (and I've been to many through sparring days and also training in other cities when I'm away on business). This professionalism is echoed in the coaching and training (where else do you get training from a former world champ MT fighter and a Gracie Black Belt? Where else do you get to train with top domestic fighters like Alex Chambers and Richie Walsh?).
