Finally got around to heading there for the buffet lunch on Sunday and have to say I was not overly impressed. The food was good but I have to say not worth the price they charge, especially for a lunch time service. Dessert bar was cool with good variety and love that they are small portions. The chairs were horrible though, very uncomfortable despite having changed chairs 3 times. Beer garden is really nice though, great place to do drinks with friends or to watch a game on their giant flat screens.

Went here for 'kids eat free' on Sunday night only to be told kids didn't eat free anymore on Sundays, then to be told they did...Seems we were on the last Sunday they do that. The place was packed out, maybe everyone heard that!
There's a great range of food here, but it runs out really quickly and with so many people waiting you have to get in quick if you really want something. You will want some things like the burritos because they're delish, but avoid the roasts which are dry and tasteless. Salads are nice, Chinese is average - our table was split on whether the fried rice was great or gross (half thought each).
If it wasn't kids eat free then I don't think it would be worth it, it's fairly pricey.

Accomodation looks great... No good if you intend on getting any sleep. The music and noise from people partying downstairs is so loud it's unbearable. Were booked in for 2 nights but will be leaving first thing in the morning. Highly disappointing.

Adelaide Cup Day was disappointing to find we paid premium prices for a public holiday to find that the food trays were empty! We arrived at our designated time and had to ask if more food was going to be made available, we paid just over $180 and went home hungary, sorry but wont be going there again!

After all the hype and having to book a table months in advance, I found the Walkers Arms Buffet extremely disappointing. We made a booking for lunch on a public holiday where pricing is normally at a premium and surprisingly found most dishes were less then half full and (in particular) the beef and pork roast dishes were empty for at least 30 minutes. To put the icing on the cake, the chefs brought out approximately 6-8 slices of meat after I had a chat to one of the waitresses. There were also several other minor issues we experienced and all in all we were very unimpressed.

I absolutely love the renos and new look that theyve done, especially the outdoor area/beer garden. Have not stayed in any of the rooms, have not yet eaten al a carte but have already munched out at the All you can eat Buffet a few times already and have each time, overindulged by their appealing and numerous selections. Theres something amongst the buffet area for everyone. They also have a Tea and Coffee Machine and various choices for desserts. It is advisable to book, especially on weekends as they do get busy. The staff is great and Friendly and so are the Chefs. The Bar, on busy days.. does get quite busy so you have to make sure you are seen for them to take your order.. Ive only ordered a few of their cocktails, but I didnt like them. They didnt taste nice.. or right? A few times, the one who served me had to ask another bartender how to make the cocktail, and also.. the flavors never tasted the same as it did to a friend who ordered the same cocktail (example; same cocktail, mine tasted more like guava, my friends tasted more like a proper mix..) Other than that, I do enjoy the place as a whole. I love the decor, the lay out, the buffet... would come back again for family get-togethers and celebrations or for a few drinks and just hang out. Drink prices seem a tad pricey, but the buffet itself I think is reasonably priced. (Would just like to add.. So much better here than the other Arms down the road. Much much better).

After a fire the Walkers Arms has taken a while to get back to normal (no bottleshop) but has managed well. The food is great and the service is as good as you could want. They have a huge area so it is good for large groups because you don't feel cramped or like you are disturbing the people around you. Try the turkey!
