Didn't fix our car's problem even though I told them only to go ahead with the repair if they were 100% sure they had identified the issue. They also added things onto the invoice that I didn't approve and I knew that these things had been addressed in a scheduled service only months earlier at a different mechanic. Found another mechanic who fixed the problem straight away.

Five Star Service! Just when I thought there were no honest specialist mechanics left in the world, a friend of mine referred me to these guys, who are still providing good honest service. They made me feel like I actually mattered, my HSV GTS was fixed on time all in one day, cheaper than the dealer and much more professional They provided me with a car to drive while mine was being worked on, also at very short notice, Cheers I will be returning and recommending friends. I had my first encounter with the new owners of Waverley Service Centre and they could not have been nicer and more helpful. As I have a baby, they were very helpful in supporting both our needs and driving me home, then delivering my car when it was fixed. I thought I had a flat battery which had only a few months ago been replaced, however, it was the alternator, and they were more than a third cheaper than dealer I bought my car off just over three years ago, a few months out of warranty! Used them first time this month after long history getting my car serviced by a dealer and found the service friendly and professional. They called with an update, stuck to the very competitive quote and even offered a courtesy car. Will be back again.
My family has been using this service centre over 7 years. Although it was a bit expensive, we were generally happy with the service. However, our recent experience has been just awful.
1. In the service record of my car in March 2011, they had mentioned that there is a leak in the inlet manifold. When I asked if it needs to be fixed, I was told by the then management that the leak is minor and we can wait.
2. After the recent service to my car in November 2011, I was informed that the leak from the inlet manifold is pretty bad and needs immediate attention. It was also mentioned in the service record. When I asked how much would it cost, I was informed it would cost about $550.00 as it would take about half a day. I was also advised that I should book it early.
Being a Mechanical Engineer myself, I did not find the drive rough or any noise or drop in level of radiator coolant or discolouration of engine oil or engine oil becoming less viscous or loss of pick up or, for that matter, any abnormality.
As I was interested in getting a second opinion, I booked an appointment with the service centre of authorised dealer of the car to check for the leak. To my pleasant surprise, they mentioned to me that they have examined thoroughly and there is no leak from inlet manifold - which they had given in writing. I asked them how much it would cost to replace the gasket for inlet manifold, they mentioned to me it would cost $195.00.
In addition, they told me that I should service the car once in 12 months or 15,000 km whichever is earlier, as against the the advise from Waverley Service Centre on the service frequency of 10,000 km or 6 months, whichever is earlier.
We have just learnt the lesson - Bye bye Waverley Service Centre.
Hi i just wanted some people too know i have just had my car serviced at Waverley Service Centre and it was nice to see that old fashion service is still around. I dropped my car off at 7 am and they drove me up to the train station, on my return they collected me, next time I am going to use the courtesy car.
