Web Central have hosted my business website for just over 3 years now. I never really had any issues with service from them until recently when I found another web hosting company that was much more affordable and had much better customer relations skills.
I have been trying to close my webcentral account for nearly a month now and have requested on a number of occasions for help in closing the account. WebCentral simply keep sending invoices even though they have confirmed in writing (log in mission control) with me that previous invoices were confirmed to be the last. I must admit I am not a computer genius and have never vouched to be one, I struggled to find in mission control how to log a job to cancel the account and was not helped by customer service when I requested help.
I am very disappointed with the attitude I have experienced by several of the staff at WebCentral when requesting help in closing my account. Seems they are set on burning all bridges with customers who would like to leave and don't care about the bad experiences they create for customers who might well have come back to WebCentral if things didn't work out with their new hosting choice.
I would not recommend WebCentral at all and would suggest that if the high fees aren't enough to deter you then the extremely poor customer relations they have should help in making your decision clearer.
I have a lot of client websites hosted with these guys and from experience they keep changing things they shouldn't without telling anyone and no one seems to know what they are doing.
Pricing is a bit too much for hosting and domains especially since you can get cheaper domains with other Australian companies.
They have Promotions Manager though which is a great program for eMarketing.
