I could not have celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary In any better style, atmosphere or with any better service or food anywhere in Melbourne.
Wow we had the most beautiful evening with an incredible sunset. The service and staff were top notch and I'm a local that will continue to rave and recommend this place to all my customers. As for food I had twice cooked pork belly that was succulent and most beautifully presented and my husband had the rib eye steak cooked perfectly medium rare which is a rarity these days. Dessert menu was hard to choose from as they all sounded so delicious. The staff were very friendly and thank you for a great nite. Our bill was only slightly higher than going to a pub bistro these days so we will be back regularly. Thank you

Don't bother - slow service expensive food - waited 1 hour for a rigatoni with prawns - 14 pieces of rigatoni (I counted them) and 3 smallish prawns cut in half - $26!!! Had to come home to have lunch over.

I enjoyed my meal there. The waiter said they had a new manager who oversees their other restaurants this week for several months. The food defiantly improved from the last time I went. It was a little noisy with lots of people and with with no carpet, but it is by the beach so that's expected. We all had Oysters and they were awesome 'tempura' was my fav. I had a Porterhouse steak {Medium}, wife had Chick Parma, Friends had Crab Risotto & Deluxe Pizza. All were really good. Don't recommend a window seat at night, because it's too dark to see anything.

Very expensive food, was rather bland. When we asked for water (expecting a jug) the waiter appeared with several opened bottles of fancy Italian water. "Cakeage" was charged at $3 per person, and we were not informed of this beforehand (the cake alone cost $5!). View was blocked by curtains, but staff were friendly.

Read the most recent review and find it confusing as I was also dining at Windows on the Bay yesterday evening and know that they have a regular super Tuesday Deal. So if the customer was overcharged it would be because they did not verbally quote to the staff 'Super Tuesday Deal!' as per the restaurant conditions for the evening. I've also made this error and was exlained the reasons at the time. I had good service from the staff that evening and I'm a regular to the restaurant. If this reviewer wanted extremely fast service then I suggest they try one of the fast food outlets further down the road and realise that this local restaurant is constantly busy and patience and curtisy from patrons does not cost anything if they require excellent service. Maybe they should have aired their complaint verbally to the staff at the time then maybe they might of received some recompensation for their unhappy experience.

  I'm sorry to say I might have to now retract my previous comments highlighting Windows on the Bay. I dined at this venue last night and was disappointed to find the service compromised. I'm not sure if there has been a change in management recently as the restaurant did'nt seem to have that ambience of efficiency. The manager in charged seemed to be a bit flustered and this seemed to effect the service given. This also reflected in the standard of food served that evening. I will visit again and hope the management of service and quality of food is improved. What went wrong?

Great food, had a lovely, tasty meal. In beautiful surroundings. But the service is CRAP in my opinion. Took about 15mins before someone even asked if we had a menu. Each time I needed to order drinks, meals, dessert, or get the bill, I practically had to tackle a waitress to get any service at all. Then to boot I was over charged by $100 and when I raised this with the staff, I recieved no apology just the amended bill thrown back at me.... funny how the "lovely tasty meal" is forgotten after receiving such bad service.

The view is beautiful. We had a lovely meal in a very lively environment. The wait staff were very helpful and friendly. This is a place to go for that special birthday or dinner.
