Are the people knocking this place sure of where they were? I've been travelling the 20+k's to grab a feed there over the years and I reckon the place is unique. You can sit outside, enjoy a beer and enjoy top quality seafood. Sure the prices are realistic but then again slip down to Pyrmont fish markets. No cheap fish and prawns there. I paid $40 a kilo last week for prawns in Pyrmont. Ask any place to serve you half a piece of fish and they will look at you funny. I've eaten fish and chips all over the UK and Australia and being 70 plus years, I think I know my F & C.

I took my parents last Wednesday out to Windsor and had the most enjoyable experiance at Windsor seafoods. The staff were lovely, our meal came on a silver platter, the choice of music really set the atmosphere, The fish was the best I tasted. We had a great time. I definatly recommend Windsor seafoods.

I have been to this shop a few times over the years being a local and have been disappointed but i thought i would give it one more chance...
...."Never again will i walk into this shop".....
The staff that where there were really rude, the food so over priced and the food is not much chop... Grilled piece of fish $15.00 with a lettuce leaf, small fish pack another $15.00 was so oily it made us feel ill all afternoon... Plus the staff where using there hands (no gloves) to transfer salad onto a plate, it was not ours.
    The place is a joke!

Being a local myself,I'm going to have to disagree with you on some points. I actually think the staff there are pleasant and take great pride in their customer service. i do agree that some of their food is over priced, however, the majority f it isn't. I believe the portion size if acceptable with consideration of what you're paying and the staff give extras if the quantity size isn't up to par. Windsor Seafoods isn't a joke. All staff are very involved in the process of providing the best quality seafood and service. I do agree with you on the salads though.... that does need to be fixed

I've been to this cafe a few times as I liked the drive out to Widnsor and I liked the setting where you can take a bottle of wine and have fish and chips with friends and family. I have never been over excited about the menu though. This evening my wife, son and I dropped in for dinner. We weren't that hungry so asked for Fish cocktails. No they didn't have any!, What was the fish of the day? "Hoke", great can we have that grilled? NO, only battered or crumbed, crumbed it will have to be then and five potato scallops. This is where the mistake was made, I ordered rather than leave.
The fish was deep fried and over done. it had no taste, All we could taste was the deep fried bread crumb batter and it was oily. The potato scallops were also over cooked and oily and for a mere $28. the three pieces of Hoke was $23 and five scallops $5.

I was at Windsor Seafood today and as I'm a small eater I asked for the half serve of fish and chips I was refused as I was over 15years old. The person behind the counter said that I would not be able to have it as I was over 15 years old. That shop has lost my business and I will tell my friends and family. To this I will not be returning. I often take my mother out for lunch or dinner and she has a kids meal because this is because she CAN NOT eat a full size meal any more
