Above all I am a true lover of all animals and take great pleasure in working in an industry where I can show that love, in grooming and caring for your pet.

Although new to "True Local " I have been in the pet grooming industry for over ten years and have been in the farming and horse industry for over 30 years. Some of my past interests and activities include breeding Angus Cattle, accredited and prize winning equestrian winner, and of course pet grooming.

I take my time when grooming any pet. I believe that you shouldn't rush, force and frighten any pet during a grooming session just to meet the next appointment deadline.

I do not cage any pets during any process, including drying and washing. Your pet is never left alone while in my care. I only groom and work with one pet at a time. 

That's why I only have limited booking spots available each day.

The person (Yvette) you hand your pet to, is the person that grooms them and personally hands them back to you. Unfortunately thats no longer the case with all pet groomers in our competitive industry.

Handing back a well groomed pet is only half the objective. I get much more pleasure when customers tell me that I returned their pet stress free and unfrightened.

All grooming packages come with free nail clip, foot care, ear clean and tick inspection. "Peace of mind for us all"

I only use professional quality equipment such as Andis grooming clippers, shears, and blades. All equipment is carefully maintained, sterilised, and cleaned prior to each use.

    Wonderful service, lovely lady. My shih-tzu was in urgent need of a cut, but due to being a working mum, could not get him in to local groomers at a convenient time. Yvette came to my home after hours - what a bonus! My dog loved her, almost as much as she loved my dog! She trimmed his dew claws - something a lot of groomers don't do - and treated an ear infection, which no other groomer had picked up (I know he had had it for a while, as my other dog would lick it for him at night). Could not ask for a more caring person, and I would highly recommend her to anyone who cares for their pets.

    Fantastic - did an amazing job with a very fidgetty moodle getting his first clip. So thorough - ears, eyes, nails etc etc ... plus great advice for a first time hairy dog owner! Plus they are so lovely... it is refreshing to deal with someone who so obviously likes people and pets - and is happy to chat to both :))

    After calling around the northern beaches services, and being told I must wait 4 weeks for an appointment... I found Yvettte, and she was available at that very minute to wash our kelpie!! Yvette is wonderful, our little Tilly is a handful at the best of times when it comes to having a bath although Yvettte shone through, she was a delight and was so wonderful with our troubled bather Tilly! Tilly may actually be looking forward to her next bath! Very fast and efficicent service! Very easy, no fuss. Was here within the half hour of calling for her service! Unlike any along the northern beaches! Tilly went from smelling like cow manure to smelling like the princess she is! Cant wait to call you again Yvette! you're the best!

    I have 2 elderly dogs and called with a flea emergency. Yvette was fantastic. She was amazing with the dogs and extremely thorough with the wash and clip.She was also really understanding and helpful, giving great advice about how to break the flea lifecycle and get rid of the impending infestation in my home! Unlike other places I have taken the dogs, they were relaxed and happy when their treatment was done. I highly recommend Yvette's services and I will certainly be going back for ongoing maintenance.

    I needed Georgie clipped ASAP. Yvette managed to squeeze me in the same day I rang her. Georgie looks amazing. Yvette did an amazing job: George is a maltese/shitzu and his hair was knotted. Yvette took the time to "clean him up" and it didn't cost extra. Highly recommend her service, extremely reasonably priced, caring and thorough.

    Yvette was wonderful and caring of our little dog Sam. He is a bit funny about his feet being touched and she talked to him throughout the whole grooming process and he was so comfortable he was following her around after! A first for any groomer. Thoroughly recommended.
