Just got back from lunch, thinking I was going to Zanettis. Was very happily supprised when I realised that this restaurant has changed over hands. The place has been renovated and looks great. New name is Taverner lounge and dining, I have posted my actual review there.

today i had another typical experience at Zanetti's. I have been there before and it has been average but this time takes the cake for me. I have always heard that Zanetti's was average with the food being below par most of the time but when it takes 1/2 an hour to cook a supposedly meat pizza, which had hardly any meat on it, I was extremely disappointed. I have previously worked in a pizza place it takes 8 1/2 minutes to cook a pizza, i'm sorry but Zanetti's doesn't stand anywhere close to any good restaurants I know of. On top of this, giving the very few customers they actually had in store the normal lunch menus then having to take them away stating that they only serve pizza after 2pm disgusted me so much I contemplated leaving with my partner. Overall ruined my nice day!!

The food was reasonable, well priced and the location of the restaurant and layout is also good. However the staff seemed to be more interested in chatting to themselves rather than working the tables. Having to ask 3 times for water and finally having to walk to the bar to get it myself typified our experience.

I have been to Zanetti's on a number of occasions and have been disappointed with their service and their food/coffee.

I have bought take away coffee from their and have found them to be burnt having tasted it after I have driven away.

My children were served burnt pancakes and when they were taken back a replacement was forgotten. We did not have to pay for them, but it made the breakfast a very disjointed one. The staff are not diligent in looking after customers as on a number of occasions being there we have been waiting while the staff are socialising at the counter.

Overall I keep thinking it will improve and go back ever so often to only be disappointed again.

You have a fantastic spot on Blackwood St, train up your staff and improve the quality of the food leaving the kitchen and you will have a very popular restaurant.

My friend & I had dinner there and it was VERY disappointing. One meal had to be returned which was the beef cheek as it was inedible & was replaced by a different one which was the fish cakes which was just as bad and that couldn't be eaten either. My meal was terrible. It was the lamb shanks which I couldn't eat. Service was poor. Asked to see the owner at the time of paying the bill but he couldn't be bothered even speaking to us. Hence to say we refused to pay for meals that we couldn't eat and will certainly never go there again or recommend it to anyone.

  Reposting precisely what made your meals "inedible" would make your negative feedback valid, and maybe even help the restaurant improve.
  
  I've actually come onto this site to comment on how delicious I found the Beef Cheek dish to be.
  
  I was even recommended to try the dish by a friend who also enjoyed it.
  It was one of those yummy meals where you find yourself fighting off everyone else's forks, I was impressed and will be definitely going back :)

  Yes it was 'inedible'. The owner has been in contact with me has apologised as i was not the only one unhappy with the meals that evening. Maybe it was a one off i have no idea but that is what this site is for - your personal experience. Not for making sarcastic comments on other peoples reviews. If you had a good experience then thats great for you.

I think they have a new breakfast chef, I went there a couples of times and the breakfast was so beautiful,even the weekend was busy.
Zanettis needs to improve in customer service, and front of house staff.

Disappointing visit to this cafe on Saturday at lunch. Iced coffee was not iced but luke warm. Asian salad was 99.9% ordinary cabbage - tastless and boring. On a brighter side, my partner's calamari was tender and not at all overcooked. We waiting for a while for a menu which we eventually had to ask for. Overall not that good.

Positioned well in the Blackwood Street precinct, 'Zanetti's' as we fondly refer to it offers everything from morning coffee, a casual lunch or dining. It is located well for the monthly farmers markets and the food is tasty, well priced. Sometimes busy, Zanetti's is a good choice for Sunday breakky or just a coffee break!

This place does do the best Iced Coffees in Mitchelton(to my knowledge).
Cappuccinos are not as good though. I think the coffee needs to be fresher and a barista needs to be employed.
Staff are friendly but the bathrooms are not conveniently located.

Food portions could be a tad more generous, especially considering the price and my salad, which was supposed to contain lettuce, actually contained a very peppery rocket, which I dislike.
This is a very convenient location but food portions and an accurate menu would be much appreciated.

Nice place to have Sunday Breakfast! Just don't ask for extra sauce, they are a bit tight!
