Went their today after recieving the best Italian restaurants email from true local. It was packed to the rafters, we were seated quite quickly. Their waz a buzz about the restaurant that you just felt warm and welcome may be it was the big wood fired oven. The food came out in ten mins the pizzas were so delicous, and the steak my colleague had was rated a 10/10, so thank you true local for your email

Went here for a lunch and the service is pretty good and fast. The service is pretty fast as everything is prepared earlier and ready to go. The salad with my steak sandwich was not that fresh and they forgot to put the salad dressing on. The sandwich was pretty nice though. Had some of the chips as well which were ok but had better elsewhere. If you want a quick and easy lunch, then go here.

I have yet to be disappointed from the quality of food at Macchiato. The interior has recently had a facelift and it looks quite nice. There is a great range of food to suit all tastes, but while it can get a little pricey, you never go hungry afterwards!It can get very busy at lunchtimes, so if you have a big table make sure you call and book ahead in advance to avoid disappointment.

I've ate at Macchiato's a few times now, food is always amazing no matter what course your having. although depending on the day of the week, the customer service goes out the door when they're busy.

Busy place, good ambience, amazing pizza, great salads, great pastas, great steaks, great sandwhiches. Believe me ive tried it all. The service is not fine dine but better than most places ive been to in the city and worth the money you spend. Best lunch place in the cbd.. Have reccomended this place to atleast 30 of my work colleagues and the feedback is exceptional. We do all our office group lunches there. We pre order everytime and have never been dissapointed.-

I used to go here often as twice a month (for breakfast). We always got the same staff seating us and serving. The service is above average and makes you feel welcome, very quick with the turn over from ordering to being plated and served. The last couple of visits there has been missing items than what is said to be on the menu, the change of what products they use, eg the mushrooms taste like they are from a can and not actual mushroom, the hasbrowns are nothing to get excited about, the sausages.. again this taste like something you'd put on the bbq not from a restaurant. I understand some people make mistakes with plating but come on.. nothing changes from the menu and i didnt order anything extra.. how can you get your own menu wrong?? The produce used has gone well below what you'd expect from a restaurant / cafe situated in the city...22/09/2010
