Hi,
Please be aware when looking to hire a court at this venue.
We wanted to hire a court at 6pm for Volleyball practice and when I called we were told we could only secure the court if we booked for a minimum of 12 weeks. I consulted with the team and we were happy to pay the cost of this ($1200 for 12 weeks not the cheapest court we could find but the time suited us (6pm on Tuesdays)).
I called back and left a message saying that I would like to book the court, and left my number, however they didn't return my call. After two more attempts I finally got through to their sales rep and said she never received my voicemails.
The rep sent me the sales contract, and when I sent the contract back I heard nothing for two days before she called and asked if I had sent it. I said 'yes', to which she replied "oh it must be on the other side of the office". So my credit card details had just been sitting around for two days somewhere in the office?
Finally I received confirmation from them that the court was booked via email.
A few days later I received another email from her saying the court had been double booked and that we could only have it for three weeks. I said this wasn't good enough - it took me two weeks to organise this with my team, they had confirmed everything was ok with our booking and then all of a sudden it's not available? Did someone make a better offer? She said she would talk to her managers and get back to me. This was on the Friday (we were due to use the court the following Wednesday). By that Wednesday we hadn't heard back.
When we showed up at 6pm on Wednesday the court hadn't actually been booked for us at all, not even for three weeks (when I spoke to the rep I certainly indicated we wanted the court). They gave it to us for 30 mins because they had booked indoor soccer at 6.30pm. This was extremely frustrating and embarrassing considering I was organising this for our volleyball club! How difficult is it to communicate with your customer who had just committed $1200 to your business?
I had an argument with the manager on shift who said he would speak to the rep and find out what happened from her, and then she would get back to me the next day. I said "Yeah right" (they never called me back when they promised in the past). They also told me the rep was in the process of being 're-assigned'.
A week and half later I received a phone call from another Sales Rep who apologised for the confusion and offered me the court at 5.30pm. They didn't compensate, just offered us a different slot.
While the incompetence of one sales rep could be understandable, the company did very little to show they were sorry for stuffing us around.
I know this was a long-winded review but I want to provide people with a detailed account of my experience with All Sorts, perhaps so this doesn't happen to anyone else.
Regards,
Peter
