This place is a grand location with beautiful interiors, but I have to say, it is not my scene. It's crowded and a little pretentious... Very popular for drinks on a friday and saturday night by well dressed bankers and people trying to get the attention of the well dressed bankers... The music was good but was playing too loud to have any kind of conversation... Lots of Sydneysiders like this place, it is just not for me.

This place needs a refresh... The restaurant was pretty empty when we came here, the restaurant is dark and is full of dusty, old mexican themed decorations. The food was pretty bland and the staff couldn't see us when were signalled for service as the restaurant is long with the booth seating away from the main area of the restaurant. Mexican has become very popular on the Sydney foodie scene and unfortunately this place doesn't cut it.

Had a great time here with workmates, we had 3 games of bowling and lots of food. In fact there was so much food - fish and chips, hot dogs, burgers, and more! The staff were super friendly and attentive and helped us have a great time.
The atmosphere is fun too as the latest music video clips are played on screens and pumping through the speakers. Bright lights and flashing strobes add to the party atmosphere.

Located by the water in the shadow of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, this cafe really does have a special feel to it. We had a group breakfast here, you can't book but the waiters were helpful and let us call up in the morning to 'remind' them of our large group coming. Breakfast choices are a-plenty from bircher muesli to the full 'Ripples Breakfast' of eggs, roasted tomatoes, mushrooms, bacon and more.
If I could start breakfast every morning at Ripples, I would be pretty spoilt... I would highlight recommend you try it! If you have visitors to Sydney, this is where I would take them!

I remember the first time I visited the Sydney Opera House as a little school girl. I remember seeing the white sails towering over me, reflecting bright rays of sunshine. My recent visit to the Opera House evoked the same feelings of awe and inspiration... The inside of the Opera House is breathtaking, the high ceilings, the elegant lines and structure, it makes you feel proud to live in Sydney.
I had an event here and the staff were helpful and attentive. Everything went smoothly and it was a memorable experience in an icon of Australia.

Located on a nice street, we had a group lunch here and sat outside in the sunshine. The staff were attentive and happy to explain the menu to us. There are lots of choices but the lunch specials are probably the best value, with a chicken burger or steak sandwich and a drink for $16. My steak sandwich was juicy and the chips were cooked perfectly. All the meals came out together so it was nice not having to wait too long to dig in. There is also a large indoor area which was modern and clean. Looks like a nice place to also come for breakfast if you are in the area. Would come here again!

A sunny Sydney day, long casual benches near the water and boats sailing past... this is a little hideaway that makes you love this city. It is very popular with older people who sit in the humble indoor part of club. It is bright and sunny and the staff are friendly, but my favourite part is downstairs outside in the sunshine... it is a great place for drinks and lunch with friends.
I ordered a chicken burger and it was delicious, with a generous portion of salad and chips on the side. The meals are $15 - $20 but the view is priceless.... Will be here again!
Oh no... How the standard has dropped here. I really love the Zen Q franchise, shaved ice, herbal jelly, taro balls and sweet fruit syrup make my day, but the service here have really deteriorated. We ordered some of the dinner boxes, mine was the braised chicken and when you look at the posters, in smal writing it says "Photos are for reference purposes only"... that is correct. The portions are small, the chicken came with rice, boiled bean sprouts, a single piece of pickled ginger as a few boiled veges. After waiting 30 minutes, it wasn't what I had experiences at other Zen Q franchises. My friend ordered some of the side dishes of egg plant. They display it to be in a large cup, but when she received her order, it was actually in a dish 2 cm high... To say the least, we were disappointed and hungry.
I'll be going to other Zen Q stores...
Since opening a few month ago, there have been long lines of people waiting to taste the Malaysian dishes offerred by PappaRich. The waiting area is large, and there are lots of tables, from small tables and booths for 4 to large seating for large groups. There are lots of dishes on the menu and the system for ordering here is that you look at the menu, and you write your order on the notepad, once you've finished your order you press the 'doorbell' like button on your table and a waiter will come and take the paper. It is a bit like fancy takeaway, with efficiency and quick service that is worth commendation.
The ambience is casual, and has a warm 'family' feeling, with bright lights and simple decor. The kitchen stretches across the length of the restaurant and glass panels let you see the fresh roti being made, the shaving of ice for the dessert and the fresh curries being poured onto plates.
Sambal prawns, Nasi lemak, slow cooked eggplant, fried chicken and briyani rice are some of the authentic dishes you can order. If you are looking for a snack, they have kaya toast, soft boiled eggs and more.
I ordered the briyani with sambal prawns, eggplant and friend chicken, which looked delicious on the menu. Unfortunately, my friend chicken was overcooked and dry, my rice tasted good, but the portions were rather small and I was left a little disappointed because the flavours were pretty good.
They were very busy so I hope my overcooked chicken was just a once off. I hope to come back to try other dishes, and I am craving a nice 'Kopitam' type snack after seeing kopi and kaya toast on the menu. Will hopefully have a better experience next time because this place looks promising and I LOVE Malaysian food.

One thing I have noticed is that all the deals I inquire about on TravelZoo are the real thing. The offers in their Top 20 email are genuine discounts at trusted establishments and businesses. I inquired about a sailing deal they had and when I called the business directly they were easy to deal with and spoke very highly of their interactions with TravelZoo and that the deal had received a great response. When I visited the Travel Zoo office I notice they have a whole team of people checking their travel deals and ensuring these are represented accurately (they were all on the phone 'pretending' to be customers ordering the deals.
Great service and would recommend their Top 20!
