Took my car in to get a repair on the brake lights. UltraTune fixed the problem with an adjustment they didn't charge me for - rather than making me buy a whole new part as my previous mechanic had said was necessary. I will definitely go back to UltraTune Alexandria when the part finally does fail.

Called Roofix based on the positive reviews here.

They were nice on the phone, very sympathetic, and booked to come to my house at a particular day and time. But they didn't show up. When I called to see if they were coming, they claimed they'd spoken to a woman on my number to change the appointment - except that there are no women at my number. With barely an apology, they rescheduled for another day.

They showed up for that appointment, but wouldn't get up on the roof because it was raining. Which is fair enough, I don't want them endangering themselves - but really why bother coming at all if you're not going to be able to examine the roof?

They said they could come over and charge $120/hour and just start fixing things until they found the problem. I said I'd rather they come and actually look at the roof so they could give me a proper quote.

They said they would call me and come back later in the week when the weather was better. On the first clear day that week, I didn't hear from them, so I called them. They said, yes, they'd come back - they would call me to schedule the appointment.

I imagine you can guess - they never called. And I lost a week with a leaking roof before calling someone responsible.

Roofix was a waste of my time.

Full Service Plumbing are terrific - they arrive when they say they will, they're great with communication both via phone and email, they work quickly and efficiently, they clean up afterwards, and their rates are very reasonable. I've used them twice now, and I've been completely happy with their services both times - which is particularly satisfying after a string of bad plumber experiences with other companies. Highly recommended.
