Restaurants Sydney, NSWAfter enjoying our Xmas dinner there last month I took the family back for an end of holidays treat. The 4 yr old was a bit concerned about the fire, but the 7yr old declared it the best restaurant ever! Happy kids = happy parents. Food was fresh and tasty, and the theatre of the chef makes it a lot of fun. I've never been a fan of miso soup, but really enjoyed it here, and the tempura was also sensational on both visits. Recommended.
Butchers North Ryde, NSWGood quality meet and that traditional friendly service.
Friends - centres like North Ryde Coxs Road Mall need your support. The combination of butcher, greengrocer and supermarket must remain intact for them all to survive. If one goes, they will all disappear so please support the local 'high street' shops!
OH. MY. GOD. I took my visiting Father for what I hoped would be a nice lunch and on arriving found the entrance filthy, an empty fish tank that looked like it hadn't been used in decades. The space literally smelled like a garbage truck. We were the only ones in the building. We commented on the smell and they said it would "go away soon". We sat and looked around and found the bbq plate was GROSS. Covered in old fat residue. The overhead had grease dripping down onto the hotplate. The glassware was not clean and there were paper towels under the sauces that were (seriously) DROWNING in old oil. We made an excuse that we had a phone call emergency and fled the building. Having travelled the world and being a foodie and can say I've never, never seen anything like it. Steer clear.
