I'm a recovering chocoholic who spends freetime hanging out with friends, chilling with my husband, going to the movies, dancing, ten-pin bowling and yoga.

I recently discovered this delicious little French patisserie in the heart of The Rocks, Sydney, which I just had to share with you.
As you amble into La Renaissance off Argyle Street, the first thing that grabs your attention are the rows of beautifully created, almost too-perfect-to-eat cakes and sweets displayed behind the glass counter. My tastebuds tingling, I struggled to make the cruel decision of which cake to purchase. There were a wide range of treats to suit all tastes, from macaroons to fruit flans to cakes that would be banned for recovering chocoholics. The treats were aptly named after artists from the Renaissance period, such as Monet, Mousse Picasso and Mousse Van Gogh. I finally settled upon a Mousse Picasso and savoured every bite of the white and dark chocolate layered mousse. Mmm, perfection!
Slightly on the pricey side, youre looking at an average of $7.00 if eating in or $9.00 if youre looking to indulge in your treat elsewhere. La Renaissance also offers options for the savoury lovers, such as pies, quiches and baguettes. So next time youre in The Rocks, make sure you check it out!
I had the most amazing time at Vivaz on the weekend! Went there with a large group of friends from about 9pm until well after midnight and the atmosphere was electric! Make sure you have you $15 entry fee if you're there after 8:30pm though.
The music played by the band was fantastic and the DJ did a great job of keeping the dancers going while the band took breaks. The drinks are reasonably priced for a city venue ($6 Sangrias anyone?) and while I had blisters on my feet, it was definitely worth it. Highly recommended!
I recently visited this restaurant for dinner, so unfortunately the yum cha option wasn't available. :( But the service was lovely, with a waiter even coming around our table to put pretty covers over coats on the back of our chairs! Haven't been to a restaurant that has done that before. The food was lovely and not too greasy. The only complaint would be the loud karoke singing that made it a bit difficult to hear each other.
I popped into this pub after seeing a show at the Sydney Theatre Company- just a 5 minute walk away. Didn't head up to this infamous rooftop that everyone's talking about, but it was nice to relax outside next to the heaters and share a drink with mates.
I went to Nirvana Beauty for the first time on the weekend and I received fantastic treatment. After my facial, my skin felt so refreshed and clean and I even got comments from people the next day! Great value for money and highly recommended.
I recently dined her for a family dinner. I was quite impressed by the $33 per head for a 3 course meal deal - you'd expect to pay that much for a main meal at most places! While the quantities were on the small side, they were quite satisfying. It was all very gourmet. I even attempted a snail- not bad at all!
The staff were very friendly and they almost always put down the right meal in front of the right person! However, there were a couple of mistakes with the orders for the entree and main - but this was quickly fixed.
The restaurant layout is very nice aand the fishtank kept my toddler niece highly entertained! There is a carpark across the road, so it's very convenient as well.
I recently bought a new Mazda 3 from these guys and the service has been fantastic! The car even arrived a couple of days earlier than expected and upon pick up it was in perfect condition. I'll definitely be returning when I need to get my car serviced in the future!
I've been here a couple of times and the service has been amazing! Fantastic facilities and there is also a quiet room out the back, which we used as part of a hen's day. I've had both a facial and back massage and enjoyed both of them.
Highly recommended if you're in the city and want pampering at lunch time or after work!
I've had to deal with Mayer Plastics for specialised office stationary. Gail has been very helpful and I've received everything within the estimated time so far! Great value for money as well.
I needed a car service and green slip inspection recently, so I thought I'd give Tyre King a go. I received great service and the staff were friendly.
My only complaint is that I had booked to have both services done at the same time and wasn't informed until I got there that the guy who was certified to do the green slip inspection had called in sick. So I had to return the following weekend (since I work in the city on weekdays).
Not far from the M2, Tyre King is fairly easy to get to and a great alternative to travelling out to your car dealer for a service!
I'm not a major Mexican food fan, but the food here is quite nice. Good place for take away food, but wouldn't advise eating here for a special occasion. There's a wide variety of options, so you can suit all tastes. So if you feel like something different for lunch, you should pop by!
This place may be hidden, but I've never been disappointed. The staff are very friendly and every time I have a stationary need, I know that I'll find it here! Everything is reasonably priced too.
The best thing is, it's right next to a coffee shop so you can buy a magazine and enjoy a hot cuppa while you read it!
I visit Sackville Ski Gardens about once a year to go camping with the family.
Located on the Hawksbury River, its a beautiful location to chill out and relax. The facilities include clean toilets, a kiosk, swimming pool and mini putt-putt. The only annoying thing is that if you have any day visitors they must pay a fee, otherwise they cannot drive into the caravan park. Seems a bit unfair to me.
If you need any supplies, Windsor Shops are a only a 10 minute drive away.
This place is known for its cheap drinks and quite a lot of people hit the Pavilion to start a big night on the town. It is also conveniently located at one end of Town Hall Station, so its easy to get to or stumble home from!
There's a great dance floor and the DJs are pretty good. However, there are some stairs to climb so it's probably best not to bring the stilletos!
For a work function, we hired a stretch hummer and stretch limousine from HF Wedding Hire Cars. With only a few days notice, everything was booked quickly and smoothly.
On the day, both vehicles arrived on time and were both in fantastic condition. The drivers were also very friendly. Complimentary champagne and soft drinks were available and enjoyed by all!
I'd definitely recommend this business to anyone wanting to hire cars for a competitive price with great facilities. We had a lot of fun travelling in style!
As part of an office sales promotion, a group of us headed down to Luna Park recently. It was a very fun afternoon out - there are rides for all levels of thrill seekers (and plenty of options for those who like to make themselves dizzy and queasy!) and the food was quite nice. All meat is now halal, which I thought was very considerate.
Luna Park Sydney is a great place to go for the young and young at heart and the perfect place to take overseas visitors. The theme park really came alive at the night (You must ride the Ferris Wheel at this point!) and the views are amazing.
If you haven't already been to Luna Park, you need to add it to your 'To-Do' list!
I ordered some pre-packed fairy floss and toffee apples from The Fudge Shop for a themed corporate event. The ordering process was quick and easy and delivery was received by the promised time. The quality of the products was fantastic- best toffee apples I've ever had!
Highly recommended for carnival and birthday party catering!
I was quite impressed when I went to PJ Gallaghers the other week. I'd just been shopping for a new car (and this place is in the perfect location - just down the road from the car yards) and needed some tucker. Ordered some fish and chips and they were cooked to perfection!
Highly recommended if you're in the area!
We hired the Balloon Man as part of a work sales promotion and while his audience was a little older than he's used to, he was very entertaining! He led a 30 minute workshop on how to make a balloon dog and then made some more intricate balloon animals and characters as prizes for the top salespeople. Everyone enjoyed getting in touch with their inner child and there were lots of laughs!
For the 1 hour session it was very reasonably priced and I would highly recommend The Balloon Man for adults and children alike!
I go to this Coles supermarket all the time for work supplies and incentive prizes. I always find what I need and staff are very helpful.
I really like the Self Checkout queue because it means that I'm not wasting time in a queue and I know that I can get the stuff I need and get out pretty quickly. I don't feel like a sheep being herded at all, because you can't always see where there's a free register so it really helps!
