Tiaraaaaa Local Star
I enjoy being out and about, nature and taking as many holidays as possible. I love shopping and grabbing a good bargain, sipping a good latte and generally being on the move. I love having the opportunity to review all my favourite businesses and the few not so nice, and hope that my reviews are useful to other people.

A lunch catchup recently introduced me to Yuuga Japanese Restaurant in Cavill Ave and having tried there I am sad to have found out from staff they are closing down :(
The menu is simple but offers a variety of items to satisfy all parties, including well portioned Bento boxes with your choice of chicken teriyaki, grilled salmon or karaage. Udon noodles, sushi and sashimi. Compliments to the chef as my Grilled Salmon Bento was made perfectly offering plenty of flavours without swimming in sauce and very reasonably priced at $16 each.
The service was very friendly but very understaffed with only 2 girls to cope with the busy patronage, which understandably you would expect as loyal patrons flock in before the doors close. Overall despite the wait times the service was friendly and our meals arrived hot and fresh to order. ?????? accompanied by fresh tea.
A warm, casual ambience with comfortable table arrangements, Yuuga is certainly one to recommend if you aware after some tasty Japanese food at a reasonable price and can make it into Surfers before the closing date of 21 August.
A great local Chinese restaurant offering quick takeaway service, quality choices cooked fresh to order such as my few favourites, hot and sour soup, combination short soup, san choy bow and many traditional dishes such as black bean beef, chow mein, garlic chicken and Mongolian lamb (which seems to have become a rare option these days. I like that they automatically include their homemade sweet and sour sauce with entree items without the need to ask.
The banquet menus offer an affordable dine in option for couples or group bookings, although I did find the takeaway portions to be a little smaller than expected for the price.
Plenty of free parking, friendly staff, quick service and tasty meals. Recommend :)
This outlet is a gem for a quick stopover before heading home or out. Situated in the little Mermaid Beach shopping centre the location is perfect straight off the Gold Coast Highway and there is ample parking in the centre so you are not worrying about the chaos of off street parking. There is plenty of well known BWS range including snacks and soft drinks, despite the small locality. The service is friendly and the service wait times minimal.
