I enjoy being out and about, nature and taking as many holidays as possible. I love shopping and grabbing a good bargain, sipping a good latte and generally being on the move. I love having the opportunity to review all my favourite businesses and the few not so nice, and hope that my reviews are useful to other people.

Hubby and I have dined at Hot Pipis a couple of times for lunch and dinner and always find the meals to be fresh and delicious and a good size serving to fill you up. Highly recommend the salt and pepper calamari for entree and the NZ king salmon in honey soy marinade or the surf and turf for main - delishhhhh. Looking to really indulge? Try out one of their signature cocktails.
Very friendly staff and great location overlooking the spectacular Mooloolaba beach. Definitely the place to dine when visiting the Coast :)
An enchanting day out for the whole family. From the minute you walk through the entrance you are warped into a medieval experience from the staff who add to the authenticity in their medieval costumes and the opportunity to dress up yourself and be a queen or knight for the day. For the kids (or the big kids) you can participate in a treasure hunt & enjoy a little gift for participating. Not only a bit of fun but educational for the whole family with plenty of information on medieval weaponry, religion, lifestyle and the dreaded dungeon.
After walking around the castle you are sure to work up an appetite & the onsite Castle Inn Cafe provides a great menu to satisfy. Indulge in the castle lambshanks or the delightful and hearty German sausage platter (for 2) or a selection of cakes and coffee of something simple is more to the liking.
Plenty of photo opportunities, friendly staff, gift shop and overall a great day out for the whole family.
I feel terrible that their first review is a negative but honestly this would have to be the worst pizza I have ever tried. Completely overcooked, flooded in BBQ sauce (and not even a good quality one), mushy flavourless ingredients and put simply just awful. The ribs are overpriced for what you get and again lack any real flavour or quality and the garlic pizza very basic and nothing special.
The customer service was friendly enough but it is just a shame the food was not up to standard, particularly when the prices are in line with actual gourmet outlets. Would not recommend at all.
A unique place to visit with the family if you like wandering around nature and taking in some bird watching. The bird aviary was my favourite part with a selection of gorgeously unique and tame birds.
Unfortunately the maze itself is starting to look a little rundown from my perspective and the admission cost is a bit steep for what you get but it is a lovely change to be able to look around first before being slugged the entry fee. Friendly staff, an onsite cafe to enjoy a Devonshire tea or light snack or why not pack your own and enjoy a bbq. Also a well stocked information display for tourists to continue your journey.
For groups and birthdays they offer a night maze experience which offers something a little different to the norm and there is also a variety of mini golf courses and puzzles for the whole family. One to tick off the bucket list if you are up on the Sunshine Coast.
Such a pleasant surprise to finally find a Westpac ATM while wandering through the esplanade which made getting cash out simple and allowed me to avoid the surcharge for using another bank's atm. This was particularly important given half the shops have an eftpos minimum or cash only. Very happy shopper :)
As the local branch of Mooloolaba it is nice to pop in every couple of days and see the same friendly faces and receive personal service rather than be treated as another number in the pack. There are not many banks left where you can find the actual branch number on the net. Very convenient location for business banking and atm facilities within walking distance to the esplanade and shopping centre. The parking is a little awkward so best to walk up to the branch if you can.
Located in the Mantra shopping complex right across from Coles, the staff at Amcal were so lovely in assisting with the right medication to rid a recent flu. All your pharmaceutical needs in ine place as well as beautiful gift selections, orthopedic footwear and designer skincare and products.
Great selection of products all at great low prices including makeup, perfume, gifts, hair products, home and bathroom and half price prescriptions. Friendly and helpful customer service offering a quick check out service and in store assistance as required. Ample parking in a smaller more quiet shopping complex for a more relaxed shopping experience.
The well displayed shelves and organised aisles stocked with plenty of low priced pharmaceuticals, makeup, bathroom needs and cleaning products is great however the service (or lack thereof) in this particular store is just terrible. Plenty of staff behind the pharmacy counter but I guess they forgot on this particular day to actually serve customers waiting at the counter :/
Although the range is not as wide as larger chains the friendly service will entice you to shop at legends. Regular specials, good location and not a bad range to grab a quick drop.
The team at Procheck were fantastic in offering a mobile service to complete RWC requirements. Professional and friendly service in a timely manner and such a great price in comparison to others in the area.
Whatever your mechanical needs give the team a call or take a trip down to the workshop at Caloundra. Highly recommend.
Ken bards offering affordable storage facility whether it be a small cage to house a few household items right up to storage for a whole move. The prices are month to month and pretty reasonable for a city location when considering how much a private garage rental in Sydney can cost. Friendly service, door to storage centre service if you utilise the onsite moving truck and convenient location for inner sydney residents. Moving house? The team can set you up with moving boxes and will even have a buy back policy in place for any you don't use.
Mooloolaba is known for fun in the sun and fitness so it is no surprise that Lorna Jane is conveniently located in such a convenient location on the Esplanade. Durable but stylish gym wear at its best in a variety of colours, shapes and sizes to suit most body types. Best to wait for sale tile if you want to score a bargain as full price is not cheap but you are paying for quality and comfortable clothing.
Its a warm Summer's day and nothing beats grabbing an afternoon gelato to enjoy overlooking the picturesque blue waters. Variety of summer flavours to get your tastebuds tingling and pretty reasonably priced for a tourist location. Popular with the kids (and quite possibly less messy) and the big kids at heart.
Sunburn is a popular Australian swimwear brand which works perfectly in its prime location opposite Mooloolaba beach. Offering a wide selection of styles and sizes to suit all shapes and taste in swimwear plus a nice selection of sarongs and cover ups. Very friendly service, great location and the perfect stop to indulge in some beachwear retail therapy.
Great location in the shopping hub of Mooloolaba offering friendly service, a good selection of sourdough, pull apart breads and afternoon tea sweets and just a quick walk from the esplanade. Not as cheap as your local bakery but good service will have you coming back.
When holidaying by the beach there is nothing better than dropping into the local book store and picking out a good novel to enjoy while soaking up the sunshine. Great selection at reasonable prices and friendly staff. Definitely one place to check out.
Nothing better than a well stocked pharmacy opposite the beach where you can not only stock up on your sun screen but purchase a funky new sun hat, thongs or beach towel (sun smart is the key). Lovely staff who are happy to help or leave you to browse, good range and reasonable prices.
First time trying the Pizza Capers franchise and wow what a delightful surprise to find a local takeaway pizza franchise offering decent sized and tasty selections. Highly recommend the BBQ Bonanza (or 2 ;) and the Seafood Savanna from the Black Label collection. Don't forget your garlic bread but even better get the rustic ciabatta yummmm. You can order online and either select delivery or pickup. I went pickup and was so happy with the friendly service and no wait time as my order was ready by the time I paid. Great service, fresh ingredients and simple tasty takeaway at its best.
Pick up or delivery the service is friendly and professional and the pizzas cooked well. Good selection to choose from if just looking for you average takeaway pizza, especially the chef's best range. A little pricey for the sizes unless you can take advantage of cheap mondays.
