Rosé was already a perfect summer drink – but now it’s been taken to the next level with its slushie form, frosé! Whichever you’re a fan of, here are the top places to grab a glass in Adelaide.
A little basement hideaway where vinyl rules and time has frozen somewhere in the late 1990s, Biggies @ Bertram is heaven for those seeking a friendly night out. They host regular events, so make sure you head down on Thursdays for retro gaming night! And if you’re looking for something to wet your whistle while you’re there, their frosé game is strong. Featuring Woodstock rosé, strawberries and a little splash of 78 Degrees Adelaide Hills gin, one sip and you’ll be tickled pink.
“Located next to Brick City Bar but downstairs in the basement this was a great place for a drink. Good tunes, a silent movie projected on a wall and a small, but good selection of spirits.” – 4chillis
Inglewood Inn is a true Adelaide gem, boasting fresh, local food and all sorts of prime South Australian booze. The location is stunning, and you can drop in any day of the week for a glass of Frozen Paracombe Red Ruby rosé blended with some specially chosen “secret ingredients”. We’re not sure what they are, but we do know they create one delicious frosé cocktail!
“I’ve been to Inglewood many times and love it there, it’s a peaceful place with beautiful views of the greenery and nature. The food is always amazing and I especially love their breakfasts menu, full of taste and flavour! I’d highly recommend coming here, it has the whole package.” – SaharMarvasti
If you’re looking for global cuisine with a modern Australian twist, Malobo is the place to be. They have a seriously drool-worthy menu, and their location right on Henley Beach is perfect for soaking up some summer sun. And you have to give their frosé a go. Described as a “perfect blend of fresh strawberries and rosé”, this berry nice bevvie (see what we did there) is just the ticket for a hot day with nothing to do but laze around by the seaside.
We’re heading into serious wine territory now, so get those glasses ready. Mother Vine is a lovely wine bar with a great selection of South Australia’s very best vintages, as well as a few nice varieties thrown in from overseas. As far as rosé is concerned, try the La Linea. It’s crafted right on our doorstep in Adelaide Hills, and it’s pretty damn refreshing!
Whether you visit Lindes Lane for breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee or just a glass of gorgeous wine, you’re bound to leave a very happy customer. From the upstairs café to the basement bar to the side alley seating area, the whole place is decked out for simple elegance and total comfort. Indulge in a gorgeous Italian pizza, and wash it down with a glass of ‘15 Bellweather Nero d’Avola Rosé. Sounds like a perfect meal to us!
