St Louis House of Fine Ice Cream & Dessert

Glenelg

A house of fine ice cream and dessert seems like a pretty good house to us, and St Louis doesn’t disappoint. These guys scour the globe for the best and most interesting ingredients to craft their wares from, and the results are absolutely delicious. Treat yourself to some seriously posh indulgence and order up the Ferrero Rocher ice cream. Classic chocolate and hazelnut – you know you love it.

“Each time I have been here, I have always left happy and with my sweet tooth satiated for the time being. The staff are always super friendly no matter how busy it is, which is always nice. The ice creams are rich and delicious, with my favourite being the chocolate noir. This place has definitely become a summer, and even winter staple venue for desserts at the bay.” – nursingnotes3

Devour Cafe Patisserie

Richmond

Hey, remember that kickass Eton mess we mentioned earlier on? It’s happening. Devour Cafe Patisserie is known for many wonderful things, but its desserts are off the charts. They have tons of incredible choices, but the watermelon Eton mess is just perfect for a slice of sweet refreshment on a boiling hot day. From the sweetness of the fresh watermelon to the crunch of meringue, you’ll be hooked from the very first bite!

“Seriously a great place to pick me up for a coffee and cake! Enjoyed with friends 🙂 I absolutely love the staff’s friendly approach and so welcoming. the coffee is smooth and delicious. the salted caramel cake is amazing and is so far my fav thing to eat here… ohhh maybe I really like the breakfasts too!! Fancy Ices

Adelaide

Damn, these ices are fancy! In fact, we might go as far as to say they’re the fanciest ices we’ve ever tried. They’re also rather out there in terms of flavours, so this is definitely the place to go if you’re after something a little different. The nitrogen gelato range, for instance, comes in such fascinating varieties as milo, sweet corn and banana peanut butter. They’re all seriously yummy, so if your new year’s resolution was to try something new, come on down and grab a scoop or two!

Thea Tea Shop

Adelaide

A Taiwanese tea house renowned for its awesome vegetarian cuisine, the Thea Tea Shop is also a great place to head for a summertime treat. We think you’ll agree there’s nothing like iced tea on a hot day, and the mango iced green tea served here is up there with the very best in town. It’s sweet enough to be considered a dessert in its own right, and will cool you down as the temperature soars.

“This is a great little lunch spot. The service is quick and it’s got a cool atmosphere, you relax almost as soon as you walk in the door. The iced teas are delicious and the food is tasty. Good value for money too.” – 4chillis
