Comics, food and awesome music are the go this month in Perth!

Oz Comic Con

Date: 2-3 April
Location: Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre

It’s time to put the finishing touches on those superhero costumes because this month Comic Con is coming to our shores! Come in dressed as your favourite comic book heroes, animated characters and TV stars and you’ll have the chance to come face to face with some amazing on-screen personalities and creative minds behind your favourite TV shows, films and comics. Personalities include the stars of Stargate Atlantis, Arrow, Teen Wolf, writers and illustrators from DC and Marvel and stacks more. Eat Drink Perth

What better way to celebrate all the culinary goodness our wonderful city has than with a month-long city-wide event full of mouth-watering experiences! And one of the coolest events on the Eat Drink Perth program is the third annual Food Truck Rumble, which will be held at the Perth Cultural Centre on Sunday 3 April. It’s exactly what it sounds like, with 40 trucks and 10 food stalls creating an urban maze of delicious treats and fancy feasts, as well as a bunch of arts and craft stalls to boot. Ship-Wrecked! Music Festival

Date: 9 April
Location: Victoria Park Foreshore

X marks the spot at the Victoria Park Foreshore this April, and the buried treasure is an awesome line-up of some of the best artists our country has to offer. Catch over a dozen artists including Thundamentals, Art of Sleeping, Kingswood and Aussie legend Shannon Noll as they take you on a musical journey at the beautiful waterside oasis. The festival will be complete with a beachside village of food, markets and waterslides (yeah!) that’ll leave you feeling like you’ve entered the mystical land of mermaids and mermen. Perth Garden Festival

Date: 28 April – 1 May
Location: McCallum Park South Perth

If you fancy yourself a bit of a green thumb or you’re just keen to know more about gardening, you’ll be in horticultural heaven at the Perth Garden Festival. With over 1400 square metres of garden space sprawling throughout McCallum Park, WA’s largest plant market will be bursting with colour on the banks of the beautiful Swan River for its 44th year. Alongside the stunning show gardens on display, there will be talks from gardening experts, hands-on workshops, demonstrations, live entertainment and a fantastic array of fauna to take home and plant in your own garden.
