Brewhouse Brisbane

Woolloongabba

The Brewhouse is a modern gastropub with loads of space and super-friendly staff, and they serve up a pretty impressive roast too. Each and every Sunday from 11:30am to 9pm, you can head down and get stuck into their Ol’ Fashioned Sunday Roast. The meat changes weekly (so there’s plenty of reason to come back), but it comes with all the necessary extras and costs just $20!

“I haven’t been since the renovation was going on, but I expect good things! Nice selection of taps and pretty quiet despite being right on the street. Fantastic beer.” – Littleberk

The Alliance Hotel

Spring Hill

An exceedingly swanky restaurant with a great selection of beer, The Alliance Hotel knows a thing or two about putting on a roast. The Half Roast Duck is magnificent, served with jasmine rice, pachoy and white sauce dressing. Or, if that doesn’t float your boat, they also do an extremely popular roasted suckling pig – which comes with smoked mash, charred broccolini, garden peas, morcilla and a sweetcorn veloute. It’s a tough decision to make, so we recommend just getting both. #yolo!

Statler & Waldorf

Brisbane

Statler & Waldorf is one of those big, friendly places that you can’t help but love, and one of many reasons to give it a try is their Proper Mum-Style Sunday Roast. The meat is juicy, and the seasonal sides are perfect – it really is every bit as good as Mum makes, and it’s a mere 15 bucks! Also, you can get pork crackling (ie. the best part of any roast) whenever you like! We’ll just be over here shovelling it into our faces…

“Everything Statler and Waldorf do, they do exceptionally well. The tap beers are ever changing but always delicious, as is the menu. The watermelon beer is an ultimate summer beverage. Exposed brick decor, the ‘add bacon anywhere’ menu option and the 70s rock inspired play lists makes you feel more at home than your actual home.” – Missnomer01

Hatch & Co

Newstead

When you need to impress, there’s no restaurant quite like Hatch & Co. It’s a wonderland of modern Australian elegance – with fresh plants, fancy lighting and shiny timber as far as the eye can see – and the food is out of this world. Try the 600g roast beef sirloin steak, complete with horseradish and watercress. It’s simply mouth-watering.

“Great food and great service. Decent price for the servings you received too, would recommend it.” – danmidge

Popolo

Brisbane

When you’re craving a roast meal, you might not usually think of going to an Italian restaurant. But Popolo is here to change that. They do this utterly scrumptious dish called the Free Range Porchetta Famoso, which is slow-roasted porchetta (a kind of succulent, fatty Italian pork slab) with caramelised fennel and star anise. It’s famous for a reason, so give it a try and see what all the fuss is about.

Popolo could use some reviews from good people such as yourself. Feel free to leave yours here!
