We didn’t want to be the ones to tell you this, but, well… you’re working too hard. It’s time to stop what you’re doing and relax a bit, and we’ve got just the places to do it.
Beauty on a budget
Beauty salons are pretty good, and gin bars ain’t too shabby either. It’s about time some genius decided to combine the two, and that’s exactly what you get with Brooklyn Beauty Bar. Sip on a cocktail or a nice glass of bubbles as expert therapists handle your every whim, from tanning to mani-pedis to getting your brows on fleek. The staff are all super friendly, and they know what they’re doing. So you can savour your treatment, then walk out feeling like a million bucks. This is how we were meant to live.
“Always a pleasure! The ladies at Brooklyn are always so accommodating and it’s such a delight every time I step into the salon/bar. They really know their craft, and I would not go anywhere else. Great location and love the style.” – cjf2
Spoil yourself with a spa
A secluded paradise hidden away amidst lush acreage, One Wybelenna is a top-of-the-line spa that deals in nothing but pure, unadulterated luxury. It’s a beautifully designed temple of indulgence, offering facials, massages, body wraps and opulent full rituals for a truly divine experience. If you’re looking for something special, we recommend the ‘Cleopatra Golden Indulgence’. Fit for a queen, it involves a foot ritual and soak, body wrap, massage and facial. You will be very well looked after indeed, and it might just ruin all other spas for you forever. #sorrynotsorry
Fancy foodie treats
You’d expect any place named after the Roman god of wine to be a pretty tasty affair, and South Bank’s Bacchus certainly doesn’t disappoint. This is riverside dining at its very finest, and you should definitely try one of the four or seven-course degustation menus if you really want to splash out. With beautifully plated meals like kingfish with grilled corn, quinoa and lime, and goat’s cheese risotto with aromatic herbs, you won’t regret a single bite. Vegetarian and vegan options are available, and there’s even five-course dessert degustation. Seriously. So grab your fork and get into it!
“Really nice restaurant to go to for a special occasion. My husband and I went here for our wedding anniversary and had a really nice evening. Nice food and drink and really friendly staff. Make sure you stop in at the poolside bar for a drink before or after dinner.” – rosie-e
