Classical European style runs hot with Mediterranean blood at Georges, where everything from the fit-out to the service is designed to seriously impress. This multi-award-winning restaurant will help make sure that any date runs smoothly, and the evening will zip by in a haze great wine and sumptuous food. If you’re struggling to decide on the amazing menu, try the confit duck leg with king oyster mushrooms.

“The most beautiful food you’ll ever eat no matter what you decide to order, fantastic wine section and service to match, bit pricey but well worth it GREAT for a romantic dinner with a loved one.” – Amelia Bennier

Cantina Sociale

Adelaide

Spanish flair meets the very best in South Australian produce at Cantina Sociale, where absolutely everything is sourced from markets, farmers and vineyards from around the state. Wine fresh from the barrel is the big draw here, and there’s nothing else quite like it in town (trust us, we’ve looked). The food is small, snacky and highly diverse, and the CUCA Sardinillas with parsley and onion are incredibly moreish.

“Love the fact that all the wine is in barrels. We sampled several and they were all delicious. The cheese and meat plate was excellent quality. Can see why this place is regularly packed!”- 4chillis

What do you get when you cross a burger joint, an Argentinian barbeque and a plush, 1920s-themed speakeasy? Pirie & Co, of course! This is one of Adelaide’s top live music venues, with all sorts of bands and DJs rocking the place out ‘til the early hours. As for the burgers? Well, the Pirie Pirie Fried Chicken one is famously awesome, and we’re pretty sure you’ll agree!

Maybe Mae

Adelaide

Maybe Mae? Definitely Mae. This sleek, art deco-inspired cocktail bar is never a bad place to end up, as it seems to have attracted a good percentage of the city’s top bartenders. These guys can whip up anything you want, but we’d highly suggest giving the Summer Daisy (Dutch vodka, Lillet Blanc, sweet and sour lemon bubbles) a taste. It’ll be the perfect start to the perfect night – we promise.
