Grab your phones, invite your friends and come along for the ride as we travel through Perth to explore our favourite eating spots. These are places you’ll want to tell others about, so we’ve picked out some emojis too in case your lost for words.
Date night requires something special, and Friends Restaurant is something very special indeed. A mix of top-class Modern Australian grub and the biggest wine list in the country sees to that, as well as elegant, uncluttered décor and service to die for. Everything on the menu will tempt you, but we’d highly suggest the pork belly with crackling, apple balsamic sauce and truffle potato puree.
“A real 5 star dining experience, they offer over 850 wines to choose from. Save room for a cappuccino soufflé” – taniaet
Fine dining is nice, but fine dining that’s friendly and comfortable is something else entirely. Restaurant Amusé is the brainchild of two much-travelled hospitality maestros, who skip all the pretention and only want to serve outstanding food in a beautiful, thoroughly relaxed setting. At $180 per person, the seasonal degustation menu is much more affordable than most, and so, so worth it!
Have you tasted the high life at Restaurant Amusé before? Why not review it on True Local?
Bars with Live Music
When it comes to live music in Perth, The Bird is the best. They’ve got bands on practically every night here, from local up-and-comers to established artists from all over the place, and the hip, bricky ambience makes for awesome setting. The food is amazingly great as well, and we’re particular fans of the spicy buffalo wings with cool ranch dressing. Music and wings – what more could you want?

Girls’ Night Out
Everyone loves Hula Bula Bar! It’s one of the most all-or-nothing tiki bars we’ve ever encountered, with every square inch covered in bamboo, tribal masks, totems, tropical plants and tiger skin. Dreamy island vistas adorn the walls, skulls and trinkets stuff the shelves, the cocktails are absolutely perfect. Try the smooth and creamy Bikini Bottom, with golden rum, guava and passionfruit. Who knows ladies, maybe you’ll also pick yourself up a handsome island native 😉
“One of my favourite bars in Perth! Amazing drinks list, great tunes and unique decor.” – Anomalie Clothing
Perched handily on the corner of William Street, Aisuru Sushi is a leading light of the Perth Japanese scene. Combining practiced culinary excellence with supreme presentation, the masterful chefs here simply never fail to impress. We heartily recommend the Plum Flower Rolls, which consist of teriyaki chicken and avocado wrapped in nori, shari and egg tamago, with a drizzling of plum sauce. This is truly Japanese dining at its best.
