With a paint brush in one hand and a wine glass in the other, 20 of our Sydney Local Stars let their creative juices flow at Cork & Chroma, Surry Hills. This quirky establishment was founded by a husband and wife duo who believes “the more fun you’re having, the more creative you’ll allow yourself to be”, which is exactly what the business portrays. In a fun and relaxed environment, our Local Stars explored their inner creativity and showed off their skills at painting a Parisian scene.
It was a uniquely memorable experience for all our Local Stars; both newbies and oldies, and of course it wouldn’t have truly been a Local Star even without an abundance of delicious food on offer. On arrival, guests were greeted with a gourmet display of fresh rice paper rolls, decadent salads, mezze plate dips plus more from Gastronomy Australia Catering. To the add an extra touch of deliciousness, the mouth-watering pizzas from Li’l Darlin, were gobbled down within seconds.
An evening filled with “fun, laughter and a one-of-a-kind experience” is what the Local Stars walked away saying. It was interesting seeing everyone’s finished product and the many interpretations of the same scene we were taught. Cork & Chroma is all about positive vibes and a space for anyone to express through art, especially with the trendy pop tunes that are pumped during the night.
