Ooh, science! If you’ve got any budding young professors in the family, they’ll definitely be interested in Pop Up Science Centre. These three-hour sessions run from 2pm to 5pm on Tuesday 12th and Wednesday 13th, and they’ll give your kids the chance for some fun, hands-on learning about everything from the inside of the body to the furthest reaches of outer space. It’s a great way to nurture an interest in science (or even create one from scratch), with plenty of different workshops available to get stuck into. And hey, if nothing else, at least it gets them out of the house for an afternoon.
Date: 14 – 30 July
This wouldn’t be a proper What’s Happening without a kickass music festival, so here’s a doozie for ya! The festival takes place in venues all across the city, so make sure to check the website to see who’s doing what where and when.
