Nothing beats a bit of cutting-edge art. Well, except for a lot of cutting-edge art, of course. Sculpture by the Sea invites 78 artists from 16 different countries to descend on Cottesloe Beach and transform it into a breath-taking exhibition of creativity, skill and innovation. From sci-fi-looking monoliths to detailed animal models to rustic masterpieces formed entirely from scavenged twigs, the array of sculptures on display is simply stunning. The event will run from the 3rd the 20th of March, so you’ve got plenty of time to check it out.
Date: 12 March
Location: Port Beach, North Fremantle
Sets on the Beach is responsible for the Australia’s coolest boutique beach parties, and its end-of-summer special at Port Beach is an unmissable affair. The musical line-up is a treasure trove of exciting talent from near and far, including Kungs, Dena Amy, Northeast Party House, MC GQ, Young Franco and Soul Clap. There’s also masses of food and booze and a host of other fun to immerse yourself in (the silent disco is always a laugh), so this one’s definitely not to be missed if you’re looking to send the summer off in style.
