flying kites on the beach

Festival of the Winds
13th September 2015
Bondi Pavillion
Bondi, NSW

At the most wonderful time of year, thousand gather to look up from the iconic Bondi beach for the most exciting show in the sky. Once again, the annual Festival of Wind hits the city of Sydney and it’s sure to wow with hundreds of kites in all shapes, sizes and colours.

The family fun starts from 11am and encourages you to bring your own creation or speak to some experts about any tips for next time and get amongst the action.

If you don’t have a kite to bring along but want to show off some skills – they’ve got you covered. You can get crafty on the day at the kite-making workshop or just entertain yourself and the family with the fantastic multicultural music and dance programs, food stalls, kid’s entertainment and rides, face painting and much more.

When you want to take a break from all the action you can check out the exhibition of contemporary artist, Adam Norton, ‘New Skies, Other Worlds’ in the Bondi Pavilion Gallery. The work explores the future of flight and the effects of technology on the human condition.

When you’re back at home recovering from the action, why not leave a review of Bondi Pavillion here.
