Amigo’s

Sometimes, you just can’t beat a big old helping of Tex-Mex-style comfort food. When those times strike, it’s highly advisable to get yourself down to Amigo’s, where you can gorge yourself on all the expertly prepared enchiladas, fajitas, burritos, nachos and (our personal favourite) Chimi Changas you want. This place is fun, lively, and boasts the very best tequila selection in the city. Excelente! Find out more

“Tasty food, reasonably priced tex-mex with a modern spin. Service was quite good and it’s nice inside.” – whipcracks

The Mill

The Mill has the ‘sophisticated fine dining’ side of Hardware Lane very well sorted. The fresh and modern Asian-infused cuisine is absolutely delicious (especially the Blue Cheese Hot Wings), and the bricky, leathery, impeccably polished interior makes for a wonderfully elegant eating environment. It’s perfect for a more intimate meal, and don’t forget to stop by Charlie’s Bar downstairs. Find out more

“We had a great experience there with the hustle and bustle of the city, but quiet enough to have a conversation. The 150 Lashes Beer was awesome as was the blue cheese chicken! The service was also excellent. I’d recommend highly.” – MOCFC

Charlie’s Bar

Sleek, suave and awash with the crimson glow of class and refinement, Charlie’s Bar is ideal for indulging in some fancy cocktails and delectable desserts after dinner at The Mill. We’d suggest a nice serving of Vanilla and Lavender Panna Cotta, washed down with a couple of citrusy Lillet Cups. After all, you can’t appreciate the sweet without the bitter, right? Find out more

“A cozy nook for a drink or snack with friends. I love the weekly two-for-one cocktails and the warm, inviting atmosphere. It’s a great spot to de-stress after a long week on a Friday night. Some of the desserts are fascinatingly exotic featuring delightful things like violet liqueur!” – starwoman8

Kirk’s Wine Bar

Kirk’s Wine Bar certainly is a deliciously winey sort of place, with endless bottles stacked up and down the stony walls. The food is sublime, with various Euro-Mediterranean-style sharing plates available for your feasting pleasure. We’d suggest trying the Kefalograviera Saganaki, which is a superbly yummy Greek fried cheese dish that’ll leave you wanting more. Find out more

“A wonderful Hardware Lane bar/bistro. We went here for a late Saturday lunch and were super impressed. Food was divine (see photos posted) and wine list varied. We had the pate, capaccio and zucchini flowers, watered down with a French rose. Perfect for a summer lunch. Worth a visit” – Winebuff in training

La Belle Miette

Are you partial to a cheeky macaron every now and then? Do you like them rich, varied and so vibrantly colourful you practically need sunglasses? Then La Belle Miette is the place for you! It’s got every flavour from Lemon Crisp to Earl Grey & Chocolate, but we can never look past the irresistible Violet & Blueberry, ourselves. To be honest, the wall mural alone is worth a visit. Spellbinding! Find out more

“On my, what a beautiful little shop in Hardware Lane. They only sell macarons, but what delicate amazing macarons they are! I selected the Pimms & Pomegranate, Violet & Blueberry, Opera Cake and Salted Caramel and they were truly wonderful except perhaps the Pimms & Pomegranate (just ok). They are exquisite macarons. Service was polite and friendly.” – natkat
