Cocktail to try: Green Snapper – Gin, pineapple, mind and coriander.

Now here’s a bar that understands what fine drinkin’ truly is. The staff have an uncanny knack of finding you the perfect bevvy (especially when it’s gin) for any occasion, and the lovely little rooftop area is just brimming with rustic charm. Add to that, the cosy downstairs area, the delectably enticing food, and you’ve got all boxes ticked! Find out more

“Celebrated my 40th here and boy was I spoilt, on arrival I was introduced to each staff member and anything I needed just ask. The care and detail taken to make myself and my 60 friends and family feel like movie stars was amazing! I ordered the suckling pig which came with salads and sliders (bread buns) and was devoured in no time, cooked to perfection! My glass was never empty and the cocktails were amazing!” – ChPeBu

The Howling Owl

Cocktail to try: Blackberry and Basil Bramble – Beerenburg blackberry jam, Kangaroo Island gin, basil and soda.

With its massive international line-up of exceptional gins, from Australia’s Blind Tiger Organic to France’s G’Vine Floraiso, The Howling Owl is one of the ginniest gin bars ever to grace Adelaide’s golden streets. We’ll meet you there for Happy Hour – they’re doing 2-4-1 Gin of the Week! Find out more

“Loved the atmosphere and the staff were great. Good beer and wine selection but the fact that they only stock gin makes this place one of my favourites. The gin cocktails that I had were outstanding. We had some cheese and meat plates as well – a relatively expensive way to eat but great quality and all SA produce. Can see this being a regular haunt.” – 4chillis

Clever Little Tailor

Cocktail to try: The classic gin martini – It’s worth it just to witness the incredible amount of precision the bar staff put into making it. Doesn’t taste half bad, either!

With its richly stocked bar set against a gorgeous cobblestone wall, Clever Little Tailor practically screams “I am a rather good place to have a drink” from the moment you step inside. It’s warm, inviting and wonderfully relaxed, and you won’t find a speck of pretention anywhere. Perfect! Find out more

“The boss suggested after work drinks here as he said he had been before and liked the place. I agree, it is a ‘clever’ little place. Good location, indoor and outdoor seating, friendly staff – I would return to this place.” – xbabydollx

Bar Torino

Cocktail to try: The Blackthorn Shrub – Sloe gin, lemon and rhubarb bitters topped with flowers.

Tapas and cocktails go together like… well, pretty much everything and cocktails, and Bar Torino brings you the best of both. The bar itself is a vision of glinting, cabinet-shelved perfection, and we’d highly advise checking out Charcoal Grill Night on Fridays and Saturdays. Plus, there’s a pairing library of 11 gins, carefully matched to their botanicals. Find out more

“Excellent drinks, food and atmosphere. I would highly recommend visiting and particularly if a Paella is being cooked, but regardless just go!” – gfwilson0000
