Monday – Half Price Pizzas

The Brisbane Hotel

Just picture it: the week’s barely started, and you’re hankering for the weekend. You’re tired, hungry, and want nothing more than to devour pizza and beer until it’s time to go to bed. So, where do you go? The Brisbane Hotel, of course! Pizzas are half price every Monday from 5pm, and draught beers, spirits and house wines are just $8 between 5:30-6:30pm. Sounds like the perfect way to ease into the working week.

“This Pub is the closest thing to a punk/grunge ethic Hobart has to offer. Still carrying the vestiges of its tradie barfly history (like cracked high stools and sticky floors) this place is where you go to see new music, loud bands, forest benefits, quirky circus or roller derby chicks. The bar side has pool tables/foosball DJ box, some couches and mini-dance floor. A much loved grungy local favorite.” – MoonahMum

Tuesday – 2 for 1 House Wine

Baaa Bar

If it’s local flavour you crave, then Baaa Bar’s happy hour (and a half) is the one for you. From 5:30-7:00pm every weekday, they do a two-for-one glasses of Tassie house wine, $4.20 Cascade schooners, and schooners of Fat Yak, Bright Ale and Pale Ale for just $4.70. If you’re feeling a little peckish, you can also grab a chicken burger and fries for just $13. Tuesday night – sorted!

Thursday – $13.50 Cocktails and $1 Off All Drinks

Birdcage Bar

Sandy Bay

Birdcage Bar is one the few Hobart bars to feature not just one, but two happy hours! That’s twice the fun! From 6-7pm and then 9-10pm every night, you can indulge in Birdcage’s legendary cocktails for just $13.50 a pop, as well as enjoy a $1 discount on all other drinks. That sounds pretty good to us!

Friday – $5 Selected Pints, Wines, Bubbles and $1 Oysters

Irish Murphy’s Hobart

Nestled right in the middle of Salamanca Place, Irish Murphy’s is surrounded by the very best in Hobart’s fine art and culture. More importantly though, you can get a pint for a fiver! Not to mention Andrew Peace wines and bubbles for the same price, and a bowl of fresh Tasmanian oysters for merely a dollar. What better way to kick off your weekend than a big Irish feast? Have fun!

“I absolutely love this venue. Great food, love music on nearly every night and open until late which is great. Seriously, try the steaks here. You will love them :)” – ShaunGent
